We decided to work a bit on the flavor with the upcoming patch, and in the process, we adapted the Roman Empire. The ogres of Draenor are Warcraft's analog of the Romans, so the ogres can now restore their once fallen empire, the Gorian Empire, in Azeroth. It uses most of the roman mechanics: heirs born in the purple, electors preferring good commanders to be emperors, Imperial Succession, etc.
