In the land of Pharaohs & famed for the great construction of the Pyramids, Egypt is under the threat of full domination by the evil God, Set. Horus, son of Osiris & worshipper of the God of Light, Ra seeks to stand against Set. With an army, Horus can push Set & his forces out back. Will you aid Egypt to win freedom or will you assist Set in dominating the free lands of Egypt, allowing chaos to spread.

Plan for next update: New scenes, explorable tombs, new units such as Anubites and mummies, new quests and maybe a story line.

But help is needed for scene making(Such as explorable tombs, town scenes with pyramids etc) and modelling/texturing for new units.

Hello, do you plan any future releases? It would be too bad to discontinue such an amazing mod

Yes of course. Right now, it's on hold. I have a lot to figure out in modding.

Ffs... Set was not an 'evil' god, he was the guardian of the underworld. Apophis was the snake god that might be called 'evil'.

Set is seen as evil from Age of Mythology the game and from Gods of Egypt, the film. Anubis is the Guardian of the Underworld and he is not evil, he is a judge. I have not heard of Apophis. Your argument is invalid.

They're both evil, tough apophis is the most evil of the two

Of course and thank you. There is always a greater evil then the evil that exists. Btw I have been told by friends of mine that wikipedia isn't always 100% accurate because people change things on it from time to time.

Wiki may or may not always be accurate but that doesn't change the fact that both Set and Apophis are both Gods of Chaos

Yes I know. I am already aware that Set and Apophis are evil Gods of chaos, destruction etc.

Set was only considered evil from at the very earliest the 22nd Dynasty under Libyan Rule, more likely under the 26th Dynasty. Although in the Osiris Myth he killed Osiris and scattered his body across the land, he was viewed with respect by the Egyptians for most of the Pharaonic Period as he was also one of the gods, who helped Ra the sun god travel through the afterlife and be born again each morning. Without him, the Egyptian concept of ma-at (sort of moral compass but not really, more like cosmic order) would not have been possible. Throughout Egyptian history, he had devoted followers. To be evil by Ancient Egyptian standards was to go against Maat, and he definitely didn't. Apep, on the other hand, was seen as evil, because he tried to eat Ra and bring about eternal night.
