Standard Godwyn pattern with forward grip
All Marine bolters thus far are excellent. I really like idea of differentiation of equipment. Should that be by random chances, or player could actively choose it as an upgrade options?
Yes, all random chance, 3-4 marines in standard SM squad should have different bolters, while the rest will have standard issue. I also plan to give them more head gear, trackers, laser guides, targeters and other equpment, especially those that will carry heavy weapons.
Its all purely aesthetic, I think it would influence balance too much if we made them upgrades. Same thing will be with FC melee weapons, he might not always carry a power sword, but every power weapon he wields will have the same statistic as the vanilla power sword.
