Wanted! The Western Mod (for Quake 2)

Before it was moved over to the Half-Life engine (but before it was known as GoldSRC), Wanted! was originally in development for Quake 2. They even released a demo of it sometime in 1999.

Sadly though, after the mod moved to Half-Life, very little evidence was left of its Quake 2 version. There's very little information out there about it, and it's actually pretty hard to find the demo, since it's nowhere to be found online.

...I still managed to find it though!

By scouring through a bunch of cover CDs from gaming magazines released around the same time, I was eventually able to find it (for anyone else curious, it was the second disc that came with the August 1999 edition of PC Accelerator). I then put the exe file inside a zip file and... well, here we are.

This is mostly for archival purposes, and I have absolutely no affiliation with the developers, Maverick Developments, whatsoever. Maverick has actually long since disbanded, so I wouldn't even know who to ask about this. I most certainly didn't have anything to do the mod - only this page (hence me being listed as the 'creator', which I'm not!), and even then all I'm doing is re-uploading their work. Nothing else.

On that note: please don't contact me for help or the like. I am merely a conduit for re-uploading the mod, not a source of technical support.
