many thanks for your dedication to this project. I have three possible bugs to report for the Plus version of this patch, however. I play the GoG version and installed the new patch over the one included in the game download (9.5 basic).
Some maps may replace models arbitrarily, mostly doorknobs. Most recent example was at the museum entrance, where all traffic lights, the cab, and doorknobs had been replaced by rhino statues from the museum proper (screenshots: Imgur.com).
This also happened in my previous game (9.5 basic), where all doorknobs in the basement of the Skyeline apartment complex were replaced by one of the paintings from the Ocean House Hotel.
In both cases, a full reload (exit to title, NOT a quickload) resolved the issue.
I could not get Knox to admit to his scheme before accepting his quest even though I had Persuasion and Investigation feats of 5 and 4, respectively. If memory serves, the feat requirements shouldn't be this high.
Reloading of any kind, as well as completing some more unrelated quests before talking to Knox in the Asylum, did not fix the issue.
Clothing sold by Fat Larry (to a Brujah male) has the same icon as the default one. I am not entirely sure this is actually a bug, but I vaguely remember the icons being different, so please correct me if I'm wrong on this.
I hope you find this useful in some way. None of these are game-breaking by any means, but I figured I'd tell you just to be safe.
Thanks for the feedback, here are my comments:
1) About random models appearing, this is caused by a memory hole if you play long sessions in one go. As you already know, restart the game to fix this!
2) To get Knox's secret you need Perception > 2 now, to make it consistent to other situations in the game and to restore it to the original condition.
3) Oops, this is a fix gone wrong after I improved the hunter armor icons in the first 11.4RC6. I have just upload hotfix RC6.5 today to correct this!
I appreciate your comments; apologies for not reading the patch notes properly regarding the Knox "issue." Glad I could be of help with the clothing icon.
I might have another potential bug to report:
The chandeliers at the entrance of the Downtown Library look as though they were assigned the wrong texture (screenshot: Imgur.com).
Restarting the game has no effect. I have yet to apply the icon hotfix, however. (By the way, would I have to start a new savegame for that as well?)
They are actually supposed to look that way. In the real LA public library they have lots of colorful items on top, but as we can't easily create new models for Bloodlines this was the best that burgermeister could do.

I'm experiencing a bug where armor isn't for sale in any of the shops. I tried cheating a piece of armor in with the console, and it appeared in my inventory, but clicking on it caused the game to crash. Completely fresh install, my first time playing the game.
Yes, that was a known bug of the first 11.4rc6, just go to vdata/items and delete all item_a_* files to fix it!
I'm having an issue with the Night at the Library mission. I complete the quest, kill the Lasombra, and return to the access point where you first enter the library, but I'm unable to leave. Interacting with the hatch causes a loading screen but then just places me back in the same spot in front of the hatch at the start of the library, facing forwards like when I first entered.
Try restarting the game and opening the hatch from different angles and distances.
hi i installed plus patch and now i have Glitch with water reflections but i dont have this problem in original patch do you know how can i fix it?
Which water are you talking about and what is the glitch? The UP is supposed to fix some of the original buggy reflections.
water in sewer Half of the screen shows water reflection incorrectly and stuck i tried reinstall game and mod it was fixed at first, but when I entered the sewer again, it was the same
If you mean the sewers beneath the main hubs, the patch never changed anything about the water there. So it's either random or some graphics settings have been changed! You might want to compare config.sys in the vampire folder with the one inside the Unofficial_Patch folder...

soft setting on shadow (sorry my bad English) The game was a bit laggy for me, so I had set the shadow settings to none and a bug appeared
Interesting. This explains why I never see this as I always use soft shadows. I have no idea how to fix this though, as it seems to be render related...

hi again i made my character with history now i cant upgrade lockpicking more than 6 and cant up dex with console any way to disable history or get 🔵 dex?(・–・) \(・◡・)/
You can switch histories with the following commands:
vhistories - Lists codes for all histories of current clan
vhistory nn - Activates the history with the code nn
where can i see all the things the UP adds to the base game? i'm also interested to the differences between patch 11.4 and 9.4 that is the one used in CQM to see if it's worth using the lastest patch or not
Just check the patch readme, there is a version changelog and a global changelog near the end.
I downloaded the file but whenever I'm try to launch it, I get this notification
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." any idea how to fix this?
Check your antivirus tool, maybe it is blocking access to the installer.
my game kept crashing so i wanted to clean install everything, stupid me re-installed the patch and it ruined all my save files like u said it would. yippy!!! im never playing this game again cuz i dont want to restart :)
The old saves are not gone, just copied to an "incompatible" folder. So if you reinstall your original game or patch version you can still finish the game...
Hey Wesp5, I am working on a character optimiser and wanted to clear a few things up if you don't mind:
In the plus patch, Beckett can grant you a fourth Discipline after "Italian Dinner." As far as I know, you must have all of your regular Disciplines at level 5 for this to happen.
With this in mind, I have three questions:
- Is the condition I stated above correct?
- What is the EXP cost for each level of this fourth Discipline?
- Can you level it all the way to 5?

If you are a Gangrel, you need to have all disciplines better than 2.
When you are another clan, you need to have Humanity better than 8.
The XP cost is 6, 8, 12, 18, 24 and the max possible level is 3.

To clarify: So you ONLY need 9+ Humanity as a non-Gangrel? No further requirements regarding Discipline levels?
Also, do you always get the same Discipline? If so, which one does each clan get?
Humanity is the only condition because Beckett's line about that was the only one I could use to make a plausible connection to Disciplines.
You can select your Gangrel Discipline by choosing the answer referring to the one you want, except for ones your clan already had before.
Hey, loving the hunter missions, but I seem to be stuck on the church defense. I need to activate the laser traps, but when I use the computer to turn them "on" and set the heat sig to "vampire" nothing happens. Is this a bug, or has this not been implemented yet? I've tried reloading and restarting.
If you set the heat sig to vampire the attack should start. Can you open the console and see if there are some Python errors there?
Only text in the console after trying to activate the computer is "no anims, moving." I also notice that the laser tripwires never turn on, whether they are set to human or vampire. Reload and restart doesn't fix the issue.
Maybe you turned them off accidentally? For me they are on and blue when I get there and red after I switch them.
Is it possible to install the latest version of the unoffical patch with the clan quest mod?
Sadly no, but the CQM comes with its own Unofficial Patch included. You can run both in parrallel though from seperate subfolders.

There some bug - i started to play as Tremere and decided to walk fresh course of Training with Jack and when moment comes to Melee combat my "hands" (default melee weapon) just not appear in inventory at all. Decided to pass whole section and just skip training - same "armless" vampire protagonist in St. Monica.I reloaded game without patch and beside "default bugs" of retail version my char had fists. Any suggestions?
The patch should have caught and fixed this random bug. If you started from Steam, did you use the launch options?
i dunno how it happened. started just 3rd time game and bang - all fine. Anyway thanks. Also question is it possible in patch keep both "twins" alive? As i remember in vanilla there was peaceful solution.
Yes, this is possible in the patch too, but you need to be nice to both all the time without giving Jeanette the pendant.

Thanks for all the hard work. I have found a bug in the 11.4 patch. Playing the tutorial when you kill the Gangrel (1st Sabbot Fight) my character cannot fight, now will the sabbat character even attack mine.
So left click doesnt do the punchy punchy thing. But I can activate my abilities. I am using the Brujah with the Academic option.

Restart the game. You probably haven't got fists and hands which the patch should have caught! Are you sure the patch is active?
Hey, new to this game and trying to get this patch to work. It worked previously but I wasn't ready to play the game yet so I left it alone. Now that I DO want to play it I'm having the issue where the game window will pop up and then close itself no matter what I do. I've done a clean re-install and everything and it refuses to launch with this patch installed.
Would you happen to know if this game requires a specific version of DirectX to be installed because that's the only thing that has changed since the first install.
I never heard of any issues with DirectX, but try deleting all your old saves, that could be the problem.
Hey, firstly thanks for all the hard work! I found a bug and can't finish a quest due to that.
During the Metalhead Industries part of the quest "A Tangled Web", even though the guards 100% did not see me, when I hack the computer at the end to finish the quest there's a message from Mitnick (on the computer) that I blew the quest and he won't contact me again.
Now, in my quest journal however the quest is neither completed nor failed...
I've tried it out multiple times and there is just no way to successfully finish it. Is there maybe like a console command I can try to advance the questline?
I just tested this on my system and everything works out fine, in fact the quest fails the moment you are spotted there! Anyway, to set it to finished type this into the console: G.Shubs_Act = 3 and __main__.FindPlayer().SetQuest("Mitnick", 7)
Yes the quest fails once you are caught, what I meant is that despite not failing the quest according to the quest logs (as I was not caught), the computer at the end of the quest only shows the "failed" message.
I loaded up a save before I had even started the mission and tried it with "notarget" on and yet the computer still shows the fail message...
The console command you send worked though, so thank you!! :)
Can you please check in the console if G.Shubs_Botch is 0 when you start the map and when it turns 1?
I loaded up the save before entering the factory for the first time and G.Shubs_Botch is already 1, despite the quest not being marked as failed in the log. No wonder it kept giving me the fail message though...
I tried out a save from much earlier of his Questline and sped through it with notarget, until I got to the metalhead part again. This time G.Shubs_Botch stayed 0 and I could clear the quest.
I don't know what triggered it to go to 1 unfortunately...
I suspected something like this, but it seems it will stay a mystery.
Actually the console command
G.Shubs_Act = 3 and __main__.FindPlayer().SetQuest("Mitnick", 7)
did not work as intended for me. While it showed the quest as completed and would reward the exp., I would not receive any further emails from Mitnick.
What worked for me instead was entering the following console command BEFORE typing the schrecknet command on the Metalhead operations computer:
G.Shubs_Botch = 0
Most importantly though, thank you Werner for your great work through all these years. I've been playing this game for almost 20 years now and am still enjoying this thanks to you. You have made this game what it was supposed to be in the first place. That you are still patching and patiently helping out people with their problems almost two decades in is a testimony to both dedication and character.
It's my pleasure ;). About the hubs, yes, G.Shubs_Botch must be 0 and I suspect people somehow fail this before they even enter Metalhead or they stealth kill somebody, which also makes the quest fail.
