Quick question, if I installed VTMBup114rc3.3, have already played for some time, then install VTMBup114rc3.5, do I still need to start over, or can I just continue from my old save?
If only the last digit in the filename has changed, you can continue old saves.

Xmm , although I don't think this is a serious problem but honestly it never happened to me before, when I am paying a visit to the Lucky Star Motel, room 2, were the cut-scene is playing about Muddy being killed, you can get stuck at the door entrance(softlocked) cause of the body, if you are too close to the door when opening. Using the Basic patch with Brujah clan. Keeping a distance from the door will resolve it

I am not 100% sure about this one, when I blackmail Malcom to receive money, they don't appear at all in my mailbox no matter how many places I go that requires loading screen. In the vanilla it worked instantly.
The blackmail money was moved into Malcolm's office, because nobody would be stupid enough to have it sent to their home adress. Most of all a vampire who would be helpless during the day in case police showed up...
oh, sorry, I read the changelog but I suppose I will have to read the old ones too before posting anything, also I will have to learn not to skip dialogues too LOL
Something peculiar that I discovered, when you have 6 melee weapons in your inventory and cast a targeted Discipline on a target, it will always spawn the message "Inventory Full". By removing just 1 melee weapon it stops showing that message.
Also this is out of curiosity, why the lockpick animations are not standard and appears only when you have a ranged weapon equipped ? What I meant is that when you have a ranged weapon equipped and try to lockpick a door, it shows the animations of opening the lockpick tool and closing it when you done.
I know the reason for the first issue and I think I have fixed it, but the second one seems to be hard-coded and I have no idea how to change it.
I see, what about the shotguns ? I mean they don't look like they shoot shells/pellets but more like a slug, by editing the "fires_projectile" and increasing the numbers, it makes it more realistic, the problem is I don't know if I making it stronger or weaker that way
The shotguns already use Ammo_Fired 8 (Ithaca and SPAS) and 24 (Dragon's Breath) and according to the web a typical 12 gauge home defense shotgun holds 8 pellets.
Also about the diary that speaks of Gargoyles that you easily find in the Tremeres Clan chantry, can't be that being used as an evidence too against Strauss by giving it to Isaac ?
I believe it should be common knowledge for somebody like Isaac that Tremere can create Gargoyles. That book is only there for the player who is new to the WoD ;)!

Thanks so much for making this. Do you know if the game plus this patch will work on windows 11 lenovo laptop with amd raedon graphics card? Was not sure if people were reporting errors with windows 11, if it was too advanced for such an old game. Appreciate any advice :D
I'm not on Windows 11 myself, but I think others reported that it works fine.
It's definitely working on Windows 11. I'm playing the GOG version with this patch on Windows 11 and it works without issues.

This is a false positive, allow it and check it with Virus Total if you don't trust me.
There is funny exploit in this version, when creating your character you can get infinite skill points.
When creating your own character all you need to do is select history and allocate all your points, then go back and select another history, when going back to sheet you notice that all your allocated points are still there but you have new skill points to allocate instead.

hey when i try to install the patch it says vampire.exe file not found
Point the installer to the correct game directory on the correct drive.
After Installing the patch and starting up the game, the menu/game is running at what seems to be 5 fps and completely unplayable. Did I install the patch wrong ?
Does the menu show a lot of particles? If so, your GPU might not be able to handle the load. What kind of GPU are you using?
Question? Why were chants and whispers removed from Ocean house? Main thing that gives amazing horror element?
Because they are exactly the same as the whispers a Malkavian player hears all the time, which makes no sense. To compensate I restored some more original ghost sounds...
I have been interested in playing this but I don't know if the mod is the game in full or free as well
This patch is free, but you need to buy the game from GOG (patch included) or Steam.
Is it possible for you to patch MaterialSystem.dll in the next update to workaround large materials folder crashes? Or is it something internally wrong with the game engine that nobody can fix?
I'm not a programmer, so I can't do this. All the dll fixes for the patch were done by other people, sorry!

Also i have a question - I remember diciplines being a bit different on UP+. Like Lvl 3 Dominate discipline was Sleep and so on. But now they are the same as Basic Patch. Im not complaining or anything! I love to play as many different ways as there is! More fun that way! Just got me thinking that there is something wrong with my installation? Hope its alright.

Sleep should be there, if it isn't you must have either installed basic or you are not running the patched game at all. Like from Steam without the launch option set...
Getting floating text in the Hollywood hub at the end of one of the districts that says models/scenery/misc/blackbox/AlleyWall.mdl, any idea what causes this?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, does this mod adds multiplayer into the game? I read from the VTMB fandom wiki that it "Restored multiplayer functionality" of the game but i didn't find any footage of this game multiplayer on YouTube
Yes, the patch includes info on how to run a multiplayer game, but it's still rather broken. Like you need to use the console to start a server or connect a client and it crashes in some of the maps. Also players can't hurt each other, so only coop is possible...
Starting a new game and Jack won't talk to me, big colourful trigger blocks visible. Walk up to Jack and randomly get a prompt that my enemy has seen me, teleported into a room with a locked door (prompt says I have no lockpicks) random enemy that respawns me if spotted and more colourful trigger blocks. Stuck in place unless I "noclip" myself out of the wall.
Tried clean installs 5 times.
Basic patch.
Steam version (but running from the patch shortcut)
Ready to give up unless theres an obvious solution.
Trigger blocks are a sign that you start from an incompatible save. Try removing all saves before starting a new game!
