Further updates for CQM v2.0 include a new feature, a cut scene update, and updates regarding mod integration.

Posted by on

Over the last few weeks, we've been getting together the last of the materials for 2.0 and have added a few more features for version 2.0 of Clan Quest Mod.

Integration with Unofficial Patch 6.9

Between the time of the last update, and the release of the mod, version 6.9 of the Unofficial Patch was released. It's easier now than ever to keep up-to-date with the latest version of the UP, so the changes from 6.9 have been absorbed into CQM 2.0

Contextual Loading Screens

Ever get bored of the same old loading screen throughout the entire game? Not anymore! Version 2.0 features an install option for the UI called, “Contextual Loading Screens”. Now instead of the classic artwork for the loading screen that occurs between maps, you will see a piece of game artwork that is somewhat contextual to the part of the game you're playing, e.g. Jeanette in Santa Monica, Mitnick in Hollywood.

Nightmare Mode

Some people think that Bloodlines is too easy a game. I would say those people have never tried playing an edition that includes the changes from both Pop's Difficulty Mod, and the P & P Combat Mod in one package. Installing both these options together makes the game unprecedentedly difficult, even for the most veteran Bloodlines player.

The final phase of testing needs to be completed before the mod can be released, but if everything else goes right, then it should be available within the next three weeks. In the meantime, check out the second new cut scene from 2.0.

In nightmare mode enemies do more damage, and can take more hits before dying, but its balanced out by disciplines being super powered. Basically this means you got to play smart, no longer can you ignore disciplines and combat feats when gaining experience, and you have to be strategic about what you use if you want to survive. It provides a challenge to those like myself that found the game too easy and its alot of fun!
