Clan Quest Mod version 3.1 is now available for download!

We are proud to announce today the release of Clan Quest Mod version 3.1. Updates are long overdue, as it's been three years since the last update to CQM. This newest edition adds a variety of improvements since the last incarnation:


- Integration with Unofficial Patch 9.2: The mod now comes prepackaged with UP 9.2 with the option to install the plus version as well. The previous rendition used version 7.9, so this update definitely brings CQM up-to-date with the future of Bloodlines.

- Easier Install Options: Many optional mods have been left out of the installer, and CQM now uses the a mod loader to integrate itself with the game, which makes it not only easier to install, but possible to install along side other mods using the same technique, without overwriting each other.

- Camarilla Edition Lite: Version 3.1 updates CQM with the latest game play and aesthetic changes included in the final version of Camarilla Edition.

- Bug Fixes: This new version also fixed a number of bugs, including: integration of hot fix release 3.0.1, making the achievement system work more smoothly and better integration with the unofficial patch.

Hi, just a quick question regarding Blood Buff in this mod. I have 2 points in there, meaning I should get +2 to all physical abilities. But it looks like it's capped so that I can get max 3 points (like if I have 2 points in dexterity, it only get raised by 1, even though it should be by 2). Also, the text in the left top corner, that appears after activating Blood Buff only lists +1 buffs. I assume that is a known issue and cannot be easily fixed? 'cause it's a little bit misleading.

So, it shouldn't be capped at 3, but certain histories might limit your ability to raise certain attributes. Dexterity can be a particularly confusing attribute because of the penalties your armor can apply to it. I've always had buggy behavior from that especially when there are bonuses involved simultaneously

As for the confusing status message, I did find that in testing, but found no obvious way to fix it, as it's a feature that's implemented through Cam Edition, so I'm not sure what I was missing!

Well I get that picking Venture will limit you to max 3 points in physical stats, I just thought that stats from Blood Buff wouldn't be affected by this limit. I mean, this makes the Blood Buff almost useless.

I dont think that clan Ventrue actually has that limitation. I think there's some history for Tremere. I'm not sure. It's a CE feature so if you don't like it, you should tell them about it.

Yeah, sorry, I messed up the clan names, I meant Tremere of course. Never mind then, I have another problem now, I'm doing the new Tremere quest, and I'm at the point where you have to either kill Regent or Nines, no matter who I kill..., or even when I kill them both, the Sire is nowhere to be found, so I'm kinda stuck.

You are the second person to report that problem. Sorry about that! I am going to release a patch for that in a few weeks along with anything else that needs to be fixed. In the meantime, you can fix it yourself by doing the following:
Opening the file:
vampire the masquerade/CQM/vdata/system/quests_santamonica.txt

and changing line 1189 to look like so:

"Title" "obedience"

I'm not sure if this is a quirk of the latest patch or Clan Mod, but every time I do the VV Hot Stripper Assassin quest, no matter what course of action I take, I always make too much noise. I've cleared the area of innocents (robbing the ATM, locking down the peepshow, persuading the other stripper to leave, etc.), and no matter what method I use, I make too much noise. I've tried using suicide, and she shrugs it off. I use melee, too much noise, guns, too much noise, Blood Magic, too much noise (Blood Boil is, admittedly, rather explosive). So, what's the deal here? Are Ventrue, and potentially Malkavians the only clans that can complete this quest quietly now?

Is it possible to disable or at least greatly slow down the passive blood loss in the CE lite addition? I like most of the things it changes but It's my first time playing the game and it'd be nice to not have to rush through things. If not how would I remove the CE lite addon without reinstalling?

When i tried to launch the game nothing happens. It's the same problem the vanilla game has,but with unofficial 9.5 and with the mod "The Final Nights" this problem doesn't happen. What can i do??
