This mod was made from GPTP for Visual Studio 2008 ( Github.com )
This mod for Starcraft Brood War v1.16 use the graphics functions of the General Plugin Template Project to draw lines and ellipses to allow the user to visualize the orders of the currently selected units.
While playing, you can visualize the orders of individuals or grouped units under your control you selected, or individual units under allied control that you select.
The graphics will have the color of the units, the recruited units will appear at their own color (useful to tell the heroes apart from the rest of your army).
In replay, the orders of a selected unit can appear regardless of the owner, so that you can see what the units were doing more accurately.
Finally, buildings rally point, armed structure targeting and next movement of scv currently making a building are among the orders supported.
The limited subset of hooks, and the lack of direct change over game objects behavior, should allow to use this mod with campaigns, replays and others normal game features.
The patch (just have to turn it into an exe with Firegraft) is available in the patch folder.
The source code is available in the source folder.
The .exe to use to launch the mod is in the .exe folder.
For me, to use the mod (under Windows 7, on a Starcraft in the standard Program Files folder with the heavy protection of Win 7), I usually have to run the mod as an administrator.
If you could run others recent mods, this one should work too.
I'm UndeadStar, creator of mods for Starcraft, and this is my first project here.
After discovering new mods with new and stronger possibilities, I restarted modding.
I will learn how to combine the new possibilities of the General Plugin Template Project (GPTP) for Starcraft with the old modding that existed back in the time.
My first mod allow to get special features in Starcraft, even in normal game, maps and replays without interfering with their normal work.
The futures ones will bring more changes, more modding like.
At least that's the plan.
