«Local Conflicts: Nam ‘68» is modification for Men of War: Assault Squad 2 game by Digitalmindsoft company, based on Vietnam War period (1954-1975). This is Singleplayer and Multiplayer modification, which include main warring sides such as NVA, VC, U.S. Armed Forces and ARVN.
A main Singleplayer story based on events of 1967-68 years, like Tet offensive and Search & Destroy operations. You will play as U.S. Marines and will walk with your company through Vietnam and horrors of jungles (include traps and ambushes). You and your company going to be involved patrolling missions, base defenses, city battles etc. You can also feel new experience of RTS with new gameplay mechanics (such as medicine, evacuation etc).
At your service the most of weapons, gear, vehicles and other Vietnam era authentic stuff.
Our project aimed to recreate a Vietnam atmosphere, show main battles and other events of this war. Besides main U.S. story we’re going to make story campaigns for North Vietnam, South Vietnam and make some non-historical missions. Also mod will include classic multiplayer with main warring sides of the war.

Hello guys! This is the last news in 2019 year. We want to sum up results of the ending year and tell about the future of our mod.
This year was very rich and quiet productive for us.
We‘ve made a lot of human skins models, vehicles, weapons for U.S.Army, USMC and NVA. We also did a lot of new entourage textures which replace original low quality textures. Mod has a lot of content and we keep working on a new things everyday! Besides, 3 new people joined to our team and work has accelerated.
In 2020 year we will continue work and we planned to make more content for Vietnamese side, finish main models for U.S.Army & USMC and continue work on story campaign.
We hope that 2020 year will be productive as well and we will release the first version of the mod for you.

they might still be working on it and there still active as they released the dawn of the dead mod not that long ago.
the mod is not dead the devs are away as they live in russia and if you dont know they got a conscription so they are bit busy.
