ADP v.0.8.3
Full Version 2 commentsChanges -added new attachments to some shotguns and snipers -Modified accuracy while moving, crouched, or using laser -Faster recoil recovery while aiming...
As the title suggest, this mod changes the accuracy and damage values of the weapons. They are changed to be more realistic while still allowing for player mistakes and not drastically changing the feel of the Vanilla version. The goal is to create a mod that acts more like a patch, keeping the gameplay close to the original but still changing things for the better Typical changes to expect immediately are: -Larger ammunition weapons deal more damage than small. -All weapons do more damage over distance than vanilla -The velocity at which a gun fires affects the damage -Realistic magazine capacities. (some guns are given larger magazines as standard to balance the weapons but all magazine capacities are real) -Realistic rate of fire and accuracy based on weapon specs and some owner tests -Aiming accuracy while using a laser improves your aim! -Weapon attachments available that were previously unlocked -Pistols are easier to aim while walking than sniper rifles. etc

Would be great if you could get your ai team mates to switch different weapons. How do you know what files to look under to change things. I tried messing with ai but nothing changed. I did see they where wanting to put in things and it was written in ai but never used like the following...shooting out lights, making cover, sliding into cover...would be great to add those would make a whole new game.
That sounds interesting. Right now I'm not focusing on that aspect of the gameplay but I will definitely look into it in the future.
If you changed some things but it all went back to the original settings you just need to set whatever files you modify to "read only" so the game can't change things back to default. Not sure if that is the problem you're facing though.
I appreciate any feedback anyone has about the ADP mod. Any bugs or mistakes, improvements, whatever. I am hoping to hear from everyone.
Also I encourage you to download the Vegas 2 Realism Mod (to which I have no affiliation) and install it first before installing my mod on top. As they are compatible with each other and that is how my current game is set up.
You may even prefer the Vegas 2 Realism Mod over mine but I found the weapon damage to be too high in places and other weapon values seemed unbalanced. But there is so much great work put into that mod that my mod does not have so I feel it is important to mention.
