Continuation from this therad: Moddb.com

I was editing this post to update download link and deleted its content by accident, don't feel like writing all this again... Short version:

It's a mod that improves scrollable lists, when using callifornia font. Main advantege of the font is, that it looks better with various on HUD info display mods and MCM menus designed with DarnUI. Vanilla is too large and bold. This one is a middle ground in size between DarnUI fonts and Vanilla. Callifornia font pack can be found here: Nexusmods.com

Download link for this adjustement mod: Drive.google.com

  • 15 lines displayed in the container and pipboy menus, more lines also in repair and level up menus.
  • Constant scroll tick, so it always scrolls exactly one line per tick and looks like scrolling an old text interface.
  • Better centering of text lines inside selection rectangle.
  • Darker out of dialog subtitle backround, so smaller thinner Callifornia font is easier to read.

Installation: first VUI+, then Callifornia font, then this one, overwrite each time.

If you are using Windows 1250 version of the Callifornia font: navigate data\textures\fonts and overwrite monofonto_large font, with the one from Windows 1250 folder you'll find there.

***

It started as a mod to VUI+ that adds adjustable line spacing and this functionality is still there. In the menus\prefabs\VUI+\fonts.xml you can change line spacing and number of displayed lines in scrollable lists. There is no point touching these settings if you are not using different font. If you want to use different font, delete textures folder from the archive, it contains one font from Callifornia set with adjusted spacing and would overwrite your font. This mod can be adjusted to any slightly smaller, or slightly bigger than Callifornia font. Callifornia users shouldn't be concerned with it at all.

If that's autism then autism is the driving strength behind this mod.

(You're the first person who's noticed my fixation for a perfectly tuned list height that doesn't cause "floating" as you call it)

You're sure you don't want to release it as a fork ? You can release at Nexus if you wish, just copy my license into your archive and mirror it somewhere where everyone can download it freely (eg. ModDB).

I'd definitely prefer not, but if you don't want the feature, I'd sell the idea to maintain the fork to emptybell, as it can improve support for his font a bit.

I've updated this tiny mod, I think it's final. Updated opening post with a download link, description and instructions.
