This month Ice and Fire, a major new update to the in-depth classic fantasy mod Valar Morghulis, has been released! The major new content release most prominently includes two entire new factions – the villainous Bolton family in the frozen wildernesses of the North, and the bow-wielding, extravagantly dressed traders of the Summer Islands, south of Westeros and Essos.
In Westeros, the Boltons add a whole new dynamic to the starting situation. Far from the Stark family having a steady grip upon the frozen lands, the vengeful Boltons start within striking distance of Winterfell, forcing the Starks to watch their back. The same is true for the Night’s Watch, who must now not only hold the wall against the wildling and walker invasions to their north but look out for Bolton forces trying to grab the wall’s fortresses and secure their grip on the far north of Westeros. With heavy spear-armed infantry ready to trudge through the cold wastes, the Boltons are ready to rule from the Dreadfort once more as their ancestors did many years ago.
In the sun-baked south, the Summer Islands add new threats and opportunities for the Martells of Dorne and for the ancient city-state of Volantis especially. Their navies can provide a serious threat to the south coasts of both Westeros and Essos, and the islands can be tempting prey for Volantene, Dornish, or Pentoshi navies looking to secure additional bases from which to reach the other continent. Without a solid infantry backbone, commanding Summer Island troops can be a challenge, but their archers and chariots give them a fast-moving, fluid fighting style that can at its best run rings around their northern foes.
Beyond the new factions, there’s more new content too. In particular, the game now runs with RTW Alexander, there are now special character portraits for many of the canon characters in-game, map changes with additional regions and settlements added, and significant balance tweaks including a significant strengthening of the dragon unit. With all that – what are you waiting for? The world of Westeros and Essos awaits you, swords at the ready…

Mod is lovely but I cant save. Save and load option is locked :( . Help me, pls
Hello!
First of all, your mod is very good and I love to play it. In case you plans to release another patch, I have a few things to suggest:
1. Slow down the population growth of every settlement. Since the settlements can't upgrade anyway, it becomes a malus regarding public order. By slowing down the population growth, the mod would look more realistic and the player wouldn't have to sack their own cities. I tried several factions and all of them suffers by the low public order as the game progresses.
2. Increase the revenues by trade when buildings like Trader and Market get completed. The income by trade is very low in this mod, even for cities like Braavos. Also if you slows down the population growth of every settlement (point one), this will affect finances. In this case, trade should be the answer. Perhaps you might add more trading resources at the map.
3. Rename the unit Royal Guard into City Guard. This unit is common in Essos and the factions there are mainly Republics.
4. A few new units: Pentos and Volantis has almost the same units. I suggest to add two new units for them: Pentoshi Elites (Either an Archer or Crossbowman) and Volantene War Elephant (self-explained). Other good units could be Golden Company's Elephants (Armored Elephants). Last, for what I saw in GoT histories and lore, the rebel city of Saath (Sarnori) might have Scythed Chariots, and Qohor needs 3 units of Unsullied.
5. The map is beautiful. Perhaps it would be good to add a few more settlements but is not that necessary. If you could rework the terrain of the border between the Riverlands with the North and the Vale respectively, perhaps you won't need that peace script anymore. With that, I mean the area where the port of Harrenhal is located, might be the only land path between the Vale and the rest of Westeros, and this road brings you first to Kings Landing. I know that it isn't realistic (it ignores the high road) but would it be good gameplay-wise. Also the route between the Twins and Greywater Watch has to be a very difficult one, with low movement points.
6. Sorry about the long post, but I see a lot of potential in this mod and I would love to see it expanded. I think people like Valar Morghulis TW because it has Essos too, besides Westeros. If you have a slot for another faction (the limit is 20 and you have 19 until now), I suggest to add the Ghiscari's Freehold, basically an alliance of Meereen, Yunkai and New Ghis against Daenarys Targaryen. Some of their units can be the Iron Legion and Sons of the Harpy.
Thank you for making Valar Morghulis!
creo que lo mejor que podrian hacer para mejorar el mod es agregar a los freys y a mas asentamientos

try to replace got/data/text/export_ancillaries.txt and got/data/text/export_VnVs.txt with the originals from vanilla RTW.
To fix the CTD during campaign replace got/data/text/export_ancillaries.txt and got/data/text/export_VnVs.txt by the originals from vanilla RTW. Worked for me.
The campaign always failed in summer 330 after to make a deal between Night Watch and White Walkers... Now it works! ;)
