Call me a traitor, but I'm enjoying more content from the new canon more than I thought. Just finished up the novel Tarkin and it was really fantastic and would highly recommend it to all Star Wars fans, especially if you love the Empire like I do. Anyway - to start new, planets and custom maps have found their way into the mod. I've done my best to create a galaxy that meshes the new canon and old EU as well as I can and still leave an enjoyable experience.

The exact galactic position, as far as I know, for the planets Scarif and Jedha have not been revealed yet so I placed them in a suitable position. If anyone knows more details on where they may be in the galaxy please let me know.
General Tagge has replaced Ysanne Isard and Governor Adelhard has joined the ranks of the Imperium.
I've added Jyn Erso to the list of heroes for the rebellion. At the moment she is using a model of Jan Ors (because that is essentially who she is) and lacks a proper model. I am considering adding Director Krennic but if he dies in Rogue One he wouldn't fit into the storyline and he doesn't have a model that would at least match him for the game. The former rule applies to Jyn but I already added her in so why not. If Krennic manages to survive Rogue One I will likely add him in later. It would be great to add in Death Troopers as well but I would like a proper model for them which isn't available yet.
I have also changed some descriptions to better fit new canon descriptions, but nothing too crazy. Don't worry, this mod still overwhelmingly fits the EU.
For Skirmish I've hit a speed bump getting the Mandos and Hutts added. It's apparently really more complicated than it may seem. Adding the units for the Imperium isn't working at the moment. All that seems to add are the buildings but they won't let me do anything with them. But I'll try to keep you posted on that.

my most favorite and cherished book is the cult classic of " Starship Troopers " by aofrementioned heinlein . it is a very excellent and good book with proper morality unlike much of today generation and with good politics and patriotist duty .
i think your excellent mod deserve to have Starhip TRoopers faction because it owuld be very good addition to excellent already present new and old canon (i still prefer new canon most especially because of strong female character ahsoka tano inspired by indian legend, not star wars legeds :):):) )
you could have starship trooper faction with all the units and ships and heroes (i don't care about bugs or blue aliens LOL!!! they are very lame compare to MOBILE INFANTRY OF THE TERRAN FEDERATION OF PLANETS)
i think you could also too put inspirational coats into loading and interface and description to encourage young generation to have proper values and morality , , such a thing is very lacking now a day.
i could also help you a lot because i know all of the story and the universe and i know all quotes by heart and i could make indi translation and voice acting for caracter such as Juan Rico (my most favorite hero)

Unfortunately Starship Troopers isn't part of the Star Wars universe and I'm not looking to create a crossover. Darth_Saber has pointed you to the correct source though. Hope you will enjoy it.
