Unreal Tournament Community SDK is an open source engine fork of the Unreal Engine 1.x with a modern development framework for Unreal Tournament. A thousand delays later we hit rock bottom and infinite possibilites at the same time with this community-propelled engine fork for one of the greatest 3D games of all time. We will never forget nor forgive what Epic Games did on the 14th December 2022.
The December Beta (this Evening 14.01.2012, finally!!) includes a new minimalistic HUD. The new HUD is intended to be used for testing own mods, maps or other things done with the SDK.
It has a spinning futuristic crosshair and a new health bar appearing at the center bottom. The health bar fades in/out according to player's health (when dropping below 100).
Nice!
thanks dude :)
You used Canvas, I presume.
Yep! This one here's simple Unreal Script and 5 textures (3 for crosshair, 2 for health status). The spinning crosshair is achived by rotating sheet meshes rendered by the canvas. The color of the health bar depends on your health. For green-ish being good health and orange to red low health.
Well I finally finished last steps for the particle color code now I can write the documentation and release everything!
Awesome news!
