UT40K: The Chosen Although 40K players and other Mod Teams may not have herd about us, we have in fact been going on, for quite a while. The fact that a ModDB page was never set up for us has only just been brought to light. We are a small but dedicated team, devoted to bringing the universe of Games Workshops Warhammer 40,000 to it's full glory, using the UT3 engine. While we have been toiling in the shadows, we have actually managed to release a Number of Public Betas over the last year and improve on them with each upgrade. ok i think we need to tie a few things down here, and since i've being working with micahpharoh on weapon effects i though it might be a good idea to get things wrote down

Space Marines:-
Beams Blue
Bullets Bronze

Chaos Marines:-
Beams Red
Bullets Bronze

Eldar:-
Beams Purple !!!!
Bullets Black

do you mean for the different weapons for each class, or do you mean the beams have bullets as well? Sorry, I'm just a little confused.

bolter = bullets = tracer effects
Las = beam = beam effects
plasma = ball = projectile effects

He just means the colour of the shooting animations is all. Ok what you have in your first post is good geo, though i think Eldar Bullets should be a white or really light blue, not black. Or maybe black with a white or light blue glow around them? Kinda like the Dark Reaper bullets i imagine.

I dont understand the plasma effects though. Are you refering to the plasma of the space marine plasma rifle and all those?

flames should be pretty easy. Just a particle emiter that emits long, streatched out fire particles that grow over life to be more square shaped. Of course, you can mess with the color over life as well. Maybe have them spawn as blue and small, then stretch out and grow whiter, then have them turn orangeish as it changes to its main size, so to speak. Then, have it fade out and get larger still, while emiting smoke particles from this point.

I might try to make it tomarrow. I'm off from school and work.
