Codename Flashpoint (Formerly called Urban Conflict) is a semi-realistic mod for Battlefield 2, based on the new conflicts of the post-Cold War era.

Report RSS Urban Conflict mod: Presentation

Here is a quick description of my last mod project for Battlefield 2.

Posted by on

Urban Conflict send the player in Iraq, during the coalition intervention in 2003,
and put him into the skin of a soldier embedded in a urban warfare. The main objective is to enhance the bf2 gameplay while adressing the theme of the conflict.

We already made some work, and used community work under permission, here is some pictures of the first map which will be included in the mod :

The map is called Virgin Forest, located in Iraqi Kurdistan. It is a large forest map, with a lot of trees and grass, and will oppose the USMC to the Iraqi Republican Guard

Interesting, but what has that European landscape and architecture got to do with Iraq?

Wow! That map looks great, but don't forget to add details to the forest. A forest with lots of trees and a tall grass isn't interesting. Slap some boulders, and maybe a small field or something.
