A balance modification for Wargame: Red Dragon. Uralgraznomod's changes include but are not limited to: a renewed emphasis on mechanized warfare, with reduced prices for most tanks, a reduction in the influence of "super-units", whose successful use can determine the outcome of the game, standardization of infantry weapons, rebalanced artillery, new 'reroled' units for the USA, USSR, North Korea, ANZAC and others, aimed at filling gaps in those nations' inventories, and ripple fire capability for missiles with semi-active guidance.

Uralgraznomod is an absolutely huge mod. The creators made quite a few changes, most of which I'm happy about, and some I'm not.

I am pleased with the changes to infantry transport options, the new infantry units, numerous unit re-rolls, and all the changes to specialized deck bonuses and restrictions. Specialized decks seem to be a bit less restricted, while having stronger bonuses for the units the deck focuses on. The reduced prices for command vehicles is also an interesting gameplay change, which I definitely approve of.

On the other hand, there are a couple things I don't like. Airborne decks no longer have access to ground-based logistics units. All log trucks are gone from Abn decks, requiring airborne players to rely on allies for resupply at the front line. Additionally, the absolute top-end tanks (T-90, M1A2, etc) have been removed. while I understand the modders' reasoning for removal, I don't particularly like the choice. Of course, I'm really not that mad, as I game the mod a 9/10.

More work has been put into balancing this mod than Eugene have done for their game. More has been put into correct scaling of unit abilities, expanding the realm that specialized decks and under-used units can be effective. Vashilly proves once again that Australians do have a use.
