A very good mod for a very good game. If you love AoE you need this mod its increidible. The only problem is the singleplayer pop but you can play in LAN with bots with 500 population.

The sheer amount of work that was put into this patch is stunning. This is a perfected AoE1!
I have been thinking about if there was anything that allowed us to use higher resolutions on good old AoE1, and here you go. This patch not only fixes the low resolution thing (it allows you to choose from multiple resolutions), but it also enhances the graphics of the old images to make the game look even better.
Since this works like a charm I am not able to rate anything lower than 10/10.

Nice that they revamped the old AoE1. Hopefully, this will attract more people to this old relic of a game form the best years in gaming history (if you know what I mean).
This mod is.. Amazing. The bugfixes, the balance changes, the resolutions, made this game back to life. I can say that the author of the mod can work at Microsoft and develop a AoE1 HD Edition. I swear, best mod ever.

Upatch HD is absolutely great! The only real problem with it is its non existence on voobly. Voobly is a great multiplayer client, we can easily communicate with people and it would be great to play Upatch there. Nowadays, basically we can only play Upatch multiplayer on game ranger, but there we have people playing RoR with the official patch, or Vietnamese playing RoR without the patch, and everybody refuses to play Upatch. It's so frustrating! Upatch also has the benefits of allowing mods such as 5th legacy and extended edition. 5th being by FAR the best mod upatch has.
