Ballistic Shields are Randomized Bodygroups, just like the Riot Shield, but this one resists bullets.

Now thats what im talking about. I hope the glass view port wont be so bullet resistant tho ... you as a kind of reward for good marksmanship a well placed rifle or PDW "MP7/P90" shot there should do some considerable damage since it pretty much right around the lower head upper chest area.

MP7 is being used by Police in Germany
It's called playing Battlefield 3 for months on end. They have a whole list of PDW's to choose from.

yea igs because they think its 9x21mm sub sonic ammo is some how related to the small classic 9x19mm Luger para round. Not many ppl know that the cartridge of those 9x21mm 7N21 rounds are much longer than other 9mm rounds containing more propellant "depending of the type" and use AP bullets.
Yah, thats what made me facepalm. The AS VAL is a spetsnaz ASSAULT RIFLE, not a PDW. Thats what happens when you let EA make a game. They get their facts wrong.

Or even just try to run the guy over with the nearest vehicle. I hear projectile shields don't do much to stop a 2000+ pound vehicle.

This is going to be amazing, as the rest of the mod has been. This kind of stuff is really creative and innovating and is really going to take this mod to a whole new level, which says something. Awesome job as always Mxthe, can't wait for the release of Chapter 1.

Will reduce effectiveness of spray-and-pray weapons though, I guess.
epic fail in that case he is wearing ballistic combat helm with reinforced composites. a .45 will likely glance off at that angle and just daze/stun him at best. move the shield lower to nail him in the visor or side of the head and that would do it tho.

Are there gonna be any Bulletproof vests the player can use?
Yes, but these are treated as "armor items" and will simply add to the Armor Counter, which is the equivalent of the suit in HL2.
I hope to see an animation for a specific part of injury, so we can interrupt the npc by an aim. Otherwise we must put a lot of bullets at the feet.
The cool part is, when you shoot the leg, it gets amputated...
Will you be able to kick off legs and then watch the body fall to the floor? Because, that'd be pretty darn awesome.
You should use a better Riot shield model.
