So I do some Ukrainian mod for Victoria II Heart of Darkness v3.04 (compatible with 3.03)
Update 0.83 (changelog is under spoiler) Shortly - economy, consumption, units (This Ultimate variant works only with v3.04, be aware it is with patch 3.04!)
Redistribution of resources in some regions of Ukraine according to the needs of the world economy:
- significantly less dye (turned to more historically justified Kyiv)
- much more sugar
- less cattle
- slightly more coal / peat (returning the percentage of world production ± to the level of vanilla)
- a little more fish (but still less than in vanilla, just do not know which area to attribute)
Economy
- sulfur is no longer more valuable than gold, the price and production remain the same, simply reduced production demand
- the cartridges have become a bit more advantageous because of some savings on sulfur
- the farmers got much better efficiency, now fertilizer factories are not useless, the level of production is the same (the most numerous peasants need nitrate, and they are very much, and sulfur for it was and is the most rare source of early raw materials, the demand for fertilizers has always pierced the ceiling, but Even a whiter price for sulfur made the business simply unprofitable and meaningless, isolation was simply a waste of valuable resource in the game)
Revised needs of a large population:
- officers eat canned food
- Soldiers eat some canned food, but do not have to spend more of their own money, because they began to buy fewer weapons and bombs
- diggers eat only a little canned food for one, but their quantity is very significant (the largest population is after the peasants), they work in remote areas, and usually a bit richer than the peasants
- the aristocrats partly compensate for the savings of not too wealthy soldiers by buying more weapons and weapons, but only when they have the means for luxury, that is, at later stages of the game, when the taxes on the rich are small, and the efficiency of the grasslands and cobbles is very high
Significantly revised army needs (during the war, livestock breeding, wool production and canning can be sharply loaded):
- the cavalry has a significant demand for cattle (all 4 species, breeding horses, industry support, counterweight increased in speed mode)
- Artillery is now not selfish, and requires some cattle for service
- the wool is now likely to fluctuate on the market, because the cavalry and the rebels began to consume it more (it was still too cheap to hold, we would assume to steal lobsters sometimes)
Consumption of canned food has differentially grown in almost all mass land forces of the troops:
- Artillery, engineers began to eat some more in the rear
- The infantry has become much more eaten because of its size
- the elite guard began to overeat (elite destroyers of the rear reserves)
- the cavalry did not increase the needs, because they are small, horses sharpen the grass, but as something, then the horse can be eaten
- planes, tanks, too, without changes, although from the beginning, had high demands, we can assume that the related equipment of the technique
In general, now a large army is struggling with cheaper and unnecessary resources. Therefore, the tendency towards huge armies could have decreased somewhat, because now the army must be fed in the first place, warmed up, and then piled with weapons and hackers. Especially the double blow is on cattle breeding, because earlier it was the least necessary "edible" resource, but also not profitable, in comparison with wool, fish, fruit, and even grain.
But this should revive the half-deadly sectors of the world economy that existed as if they were in some kind of stagnant stagnation and overproduction.
