Also when you come to GDI's first encounter with obelisks, I hope you program the gunboats to actually destroy the base if you destroy the obelisk first, please.
Alternatively, how about putting in a hard block that prevents you from saving the gunboats? :P
SSM launchers on the far side of the river, perhaps? They're roughly the size of some of the more ridiculous ASMs.

Now that I think about it, a few extra twists for the experiened C&C players would probably be rather nice.
Can't argue with that, with the scope of final sun's editting capabilities, you can have soldiers conversation, ambushes, surprise enemy reinforcements, expanding maps, it'll be interesting what they do with it

Looks good though the base itself seems somewhat simple. Something is missing here either replace the sandbags with concrete walls to make it color wise more fitting. Or eventually add some sandy roads leading away from the base in numerous directions. Perhaps some smaller destroyed wooden civilian houses nearby etc.
It doesn't have to look exactly like it did in the original I would enhance upon the original levels design wise.
But as said before it still looks good so don't get my recommendation wrong. Great work. :)
One additional point:
I believe the NOD signs facing east should produce a small light source for the sign itself. I personally dislike the fact that it is almost pitch black while the signs facing south are shining perfectly.
I would suggest to add 2 additional signs - 1 group (south, east) without lights, and 1 group with a small light source on the object. Might be useful for night missions.
You can also bet that such a propagandist society such as NOD will have their signs illuminated. So the sign to the east should give a small light source in red to the east considering the sun ain't shining there at present.
