If you're trying to emulate the C&C 1 tileset while putting the TI spin on it, you should probably increase the contrast between the doodads and other things. Basically, make the doodads pop out from the tileset and each other better.
I am currently in the process of converting all doodads from structures to terrain objects. This will vastly improve performance and allow me to visually improve said doodads while doing so too. This is however a very, very, very lengthy and mundane task as that means almost 200 maps will need editing.
I'm starting to agree with the guy who used to say "TI has too many maps" all those years ago.
It's all fun and games until you have to remake something because you had a great idea a long way into developing, huh?
TS Modding tools really need more support for mass operations... There is very few and it's very unreliable.
