Turok 2 Ascension is yet another overhaul mod by myself for a classic game from my past recreated by the awesome dev team Nightdive Studios. Turok 2 was the first game I had ever played that I bought with my own money and so I was very critical of it at that time. I loved the game to death, but every flaw I saw in it I griped about it. So now, decades later I have taken it upon myself to try and make it even better than it already was. From crazier weapon abilities to more blood and gore to a nice HD/Upscaled Texture and Skin Pack to an increase in enemy numbers this mod aims to help Turok 2 ascend to a whole new level.

What exactly is the point of the Hunter Cannon? Does Turok not have enough weapons already?

No he does not. You’ll understand when your overwhelmed by a horde of enemies and u just don’t have time to switch to an explosive weapon to help you get some breathing room. On any playthrough of any map you may encounter up to 4 times the amount of enemies you would encounter in standard T2.

U press the SCOPEZOOMOUT button with any weapon, while not using a scope and not moving, to fire an explosive energy grenade that explodes on impact. It takes 10 seconds to recharge. It is very helpful in T2A.

Description

Got the Hunter Cannon model grafted onto Turok's shoulder for his 3rd person cinematic model to go along with the new weapon the player can use at any time during combat.

To use it you simply press the SCOPEZOOMIN button while not moving. If you press and hold down the SCOPEZOOMIN button the Hunter Cannon can be charged up for more devastating attacks.
0-120 second charge = Fires a single projectile and requires a 10 second recharge before being able to use the Hunter Cannon again.
121-240 second charge = Fires 2 projectiles with a slight spread and requires a 20 second recharge before being able to use the Hunter Cannon again.
241+ charge = Fires 3 projectiles with a slight spread and requires a 30 second recharge before being able to use the Hunter Cannon again.
