Turok 2 Ascension is yet another overhaul mod by myself for a classic game from my past recreated by the awesome dev team Nightdive Studios. Turok 2 was the first game I had ever played that I bought with my own money and so I was very critical of it at that time. I loved the game to death, but every flaw I saw in it I griped about it. So now, decades later I have taken it upon myself to try and make it even better than it already was. From crazier weapon abilities to more blood and gore to a nice HD/Upscaled Texture and Skin Pack to an increase in enemy numbers this mod aims to help Turok 2 ascend to a whole new level.
So, I've been messing around with AI Upscaling on another mod of mine, and I figured I should put my newfound knowledge to use on this mod's texture pack. These new 2.0 skins and textures are smaller in size and stick much closer to the vanilla game's art style while also giving it a nice facelift. The texture pack so far has been cut in half when it comes to file size, and it looks much better than the original release. Still a WIP so stay tuned.

BTW is this new texture pack all we're getting in this upcoming update? Or will there be other new content and fixes?
I’ll be adding footstep sound effects for the player but yeah the texture pack will be the biggest part of this update. I’m not aware of anything else that needs fixing. Everything else that people wanted options for were given those options in the last patch.

That's kind of disappointing, I was hoping there'd be new enemy types, like more dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures to fight (in comparison to the first game, T2 is lacking in that regard), since there now exists model import/export tools for Turok 2.
I’m not really focused on this mod right now. So I’m only putting effort into fixing the upscaled texture pack. On top of that I don’t really have anything in mind to add. This is the one thing I definitely want to clean up.
