Part 1 was released in 2013, but was broken by the Steampipe 2016 update. It is officially not working at this point and no longer in development. There's a fix by Malortie, who managed to reverse engineer parts of the mod and get it running under Source SDK 2013. I am extremely grateful for his efforts - and while it is playable from start to finish - it's using binaries meant for HL2 so the AI, animations and weapons may not work as originally intended and I cannot officially support it. If you'd like to follow my latest project, Trepang2 is a spiritual sequel and you can try out the demo.

A preview of our menu music, some pretty screenshots, and information on a new shadow fix being implemented.

Hello everybody! It is 2012, and we are back with another update. To start things off, here is our menu music, by our team's musician.

We've had many tracks since the early days of the mod, but we've never finalized anything and we were afraid of showing off unfinished work.

Now, we're showing WIP music to our followers so we can get your input. We couldn't really decide on how the music should sound, so we'd like to hear from you guys. It'd also be nice to hear your feedback on this track so we can improve our work.

Voices of war

We are beginning to replace our placeholder text-to-speech dialogue with real voices. Most of our voice actors are local, but we have a small part by the popular moddb voice actor, Dr Doozer . If you haven't heard of him, you can check out his moddb profile and see his experience.

Our first trailer

When we first started the moddb profile, we made an announcement trailer. It's quite old, so it doesn't look or sound much like how the mod is now. However its a good reminder of how much progress has been made. For those who haven't seen it, the 2009 announcement trailer is available here:

There's actually a lack of any recent videos on this moddb profile. Maybe we will release some more up to date videos sometime soon...

Screenshots

And here are some new screenshots of the mod. This map takes place near the climax of the story. The fog is not final, it is only used currently to hide far away objects so it can run at a decent framerate (the map is not optimized yet, sad face). And as always, we'd love to hear your feedback and input so we can make things better. Anyways, that's it for this update, see you guys next time!
