That means that you placed the launcher in the wrong folder, as the vanilla game cannot be found.

Be sure you placed the launcher in you root folder, and run the launcher again.
The root folder is the folder where RomeTW.exe, and RomeTW-BI.exe are located

This path may differ on your pc, but an example is the following: 'C:\Games\The Creative Assembly\Rome Total War\'.

The game may also give you that error when there is no audio device enabled!

I hope you can solve it now. Watch the installation instruction on this forum, or follow the video from youtube:

Thanks, it installs like it should.
I'll let you know if i have any more problems.
Amazing mod btw!

Well, unfortunately I have another problem.
Messagebox with:
"script error in 1942/data/export_descr_unit.txt, at line 118, column 18
unrecognized mount type 'liberty'."

Hmm I have heard of it before. Can you open the 1942 folder, and then see if there is a file called 'descr_mount.txt' ?

If it's there, open it, hit Ctrl + F and search for liberty

Im curious :)

Well I think its needed to run the launcher as administrator. That might solve a lot of problems.

To reinstall the mod:

Open up 'total_war_1942_version.txt'
(located at the same location as where you put the launcher)

Change the version from 1.1 to 0.9

Run the launcher as administrator.

It should install now correctly

Yes there was an error during the download as the zip seems to be corrupted. Try running as admin without any other processes running :)

Folder 1942 didn't change at all, and update log is empty.
:/

Have you set it to 0.9 and run as administrator?

Well do you have teamviewer? I see you are also using steam which might break things. If I can look on your pc I can try fixing it :)

If that's the case then i have non-steam version as well.

I'll try to install it on non-steam version.
