Total Mayhem takes Total Annihilation, bugfixes and extends it the way Cavedog might have. Early game pace is quicker, many new units added (longtime players may recognise some 3rd-party units), including a whole new 3rd tech level tier. Existing and added units have been bugfixed, rebalanced, re-modeled, re-textured and re-rendered to equal or exceed the standard of the original TA units.

It's coming! We have a team helping do the last rounds of balancing and refinement... We hope to have an official release within the next 2 weeks.

This is a big update! Mainly it's a major return to OTA balancing, and a return to the central concept of simply "make all the units useful".

It plays much like OTA does, and much of the rebalancing is thanks to using the ProTA rebalance mod as a reference point.
