Well, we said that we would start up again in the fall, and well the fall has arrived. So...we are starting up development again! Core team members have all reported in and development is underway again. We have a nifty new SVN server setup by Joco which is greatly improving the workflow. The mod has become so incredibly massive that we were getting lost in our own work.

As well, with a fresh look at the state of the US as we left it in June, it seems clear to me to me that it was best not to rush it out the door. It is shaping to be a, if I do say so myself, great mod. No, scratch that. Fantastic! I am supposed to be testing for bugs etc. but I find myself just playing and living the game half the time. It draws me in. Thus it behooves us to polish and refine it as best we can before we let our little darlin out the door to be no doubt roughly treated by a beta testing team.

That being said we shan't rush US. But we certainly are going to make it as great as we can. And definitely worth the wait. We, not unlike many of our fans, find the current crop of 'space sims' to be a dubious mix at best, and so we eagerly await the release of US as much as you do. In anycase wish us luck as we delve into long, long, loooooooong hours of coding, debugging and general grunty mod work (though fun of course)
