Here we go! The moment you have all been waiting for has arrived! The TO:C team is proud to present version 1.6 of our game. We didn't originally plan to add any new maps with this patch, the initial aim was just to tighten up and fix little issues with 1.5, to give you all a great game to enjoy

Here we go! The moment you have all been waiting for has arrived! The TO:C team is proud to present version 1.6 of our game. We didn't originally plan to add any new maps with this patch, the initial aim was just to tighten up and fix little issues with 1.5, to give you all a great game to enjoy while we labour away towards 2.0.

However, one of our level designers, the well known Sombi (creator of Rage and Province as well as other works), had an ace up his sleeve. So without further ado, we are proud to present his brand new, wholly original map: OBJ-Infernum - Fast action, wide streets, no clutter and locations for every weapon to have it's use. Infernum shows once again that somb]I[ knows his gameplay and has a great visual style that is distinctive. Grab your guns and hit the pavement!

We hope that sounds like what you were hoping for, if you haven't tried TO:Crossfire yet then download this patch and see for yourself what a fast action realism mod is like. If you tried the earlier versions, why not see how much it has changed (for the better) since then.

Man, this makes me wish I still had UT2k4 installed. Looking great, though! Definitely a worthy successor to TO. :D

New features include in 1.6:

*Improved weapon balance - Shotguns have had an overhaul to ensure that up close they deliver the same punch but at greater distances they are as effective as the price and weapon class deserves.
*Map fixes- performance, bugs and visuals in a few of our maps got a tickle. No more hiding in the walls on Richelieu.
*New firemode for AK47/M4a1: Tracer fire - Lay down tracer fire tactically to direct fire for team mates, crap in your pants when they fly past your head.
*Blood! - Yes, there is more blood. Directional hit effects mean that bullets leave an exit wound which helps team mates see where you were shot from.
*Improved effects - More different muzzleflashes for weapons to better see who is shooting at you from distance.
*Exploits blocked - We've blocked a few avenues with 1.6
*Bugfixes - Stuff got fixed..yay.

despite the 695 megabytes I'm downloading this baby. Had a lot of fun with the first releases and I wanna see what's changed and improved with the mod. I always liked how you can combine so many great guns. I love your gun models, really admire the guy's modelling and texturing skills!

Great mod! It distinguishes itself from CS:S by having a very different feeling of gameplay and a much faster and direct feeling of control. I love going into it again. Hope people haven't gone all pro, since I last joined. Gonna deal some headshots now!

great fun game, one of the better mods i've played recently, makes me wish there was a bunch of low ping servers to play on :)
