This full conversion mod lets you play the original game and your beloved custom stories in a modern environment, of course in a not so realistic way, but it truly changes the maps' atmoshphere. This is your mod if you like todays' tools like flashlight, electric lamps, glowstick, motion tracker, plastic boxes and so on. Also if you're a fan of mods like White Night and Mental Memorial, this might interest you..
Note, that this mod only support custom stories, not full conversion mods. I cannot make sure that no bugs or crashes will be noticed, players' creativity sometimes cause weird model usage (mine also), which makes my modified ones looks not well placed or buggy.If you find some of these events, write them down in a comment, and i'll try to find a way to fix it (if possible). That's it, have fun, and keep an eye open for bugs!

The mod is old, and will not release further updates, as of 2022 after balance patches. For mods more representative of my skills, check the updates of the Desolation custom story, and my other works.

The release is already available in the downloads section. Old reworked maps packed into one release, added story and voice acting, edited new musics and models, that's what Desolation provides. I just wanna know, before I pull anymore hair out restarting this again, is there anything of any importance in the chest? Every time I go to open it, it won't allow me to after I pay the thalers...
It also crashed on me when I moved a few objects in the kitchen(?) where the chest is.
lol i've never experienced anything like this so far, in two years playing and modding amnesia :o well yeah, it's important.. try to reload the level a few times, probably it will open. i hope so..
I've tried four or five times now, even reinstalled it and I still can't get it to open. I can't click on it or anything after I pay the thalers.
then i have no idea. that entity is not scripted by me, but i guess no one ever experienced anything like this. i'll try to get a tip on the frictional games forum, hope you'll have your solution

I just finished it :) And I didn't like the ending. It said I failed.. That got me curious, did I miss something :? Does it have only one ending, or there's multiple? Btw, at the snow area in the end, while I was looking for the Poison Gland, I was carrying a stone with me to smash it once I find it, but suddenly, I sank into the floor and fell out of the map haha :)
yeah, once it happened to me also, sorry for that, and for the ending also, i didn't have any good ideas for good ending. don't forget to rate it if you liked the maps :)
I have 2 keys, 2 jars, 1 bar and a hacksaw and don't know what else to do, the small door on the staircase won't open and I can't find the key to open it.
What is the next step?
that staircase door is a secret one. search for barrels which can fill your metal jar with epoxy.
I finally finished it, not a lot of help in the notes but it was fun.. 8/10
