This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.

Please don't tell me you made this to remind us of a Yuri Floating Disc. I thought this actually is more fitting for a Scrin faction.

Equally weird with Scrin, though. Utilising "local wildlife," doesn't exactly seem like their thing.

Will lightning bolts kill light infantry with one hit or do serious damage? It was funny when weapons like this oblitirate any structure or vehicles, but even not sracth light infantry beacause of balance.

Well, given the presence of squishables in the very thing, its lightning should probably be suppressed in the first place, rather than exploited.

Woo-hoo! Floaters!

But, is there a way to animate the tentacles? The Floater looks too stiff for a giant mutated jellyfish, with its limbs all rigid and stretched out like that.

And, i think better add additional limbs. And of course animate them, if it will be not too difficult.

Could we have a Floater Beacon Support Power that summons wild floaters from outside the map towards a location and has them attack everything for a time?
It sounds like a good idea to me, so I thought about laying it here. Love the Floater gunships, even if I find the idea that they transport infantry a little too exotic. :)

I was really hoping for the floaters to come back. This is great!

The only thing missing is the Hunter Seeker drone, lol.

I like you reuse the idea GDI hammerhead from KW, but for make it the only air unit, i dont like.

Why not use and include old aircraft from the TW1?

EEEEEEH, i have to agree with other post, while i can see the Forgotten taming some will life, the floater doesn't seem very tameable. plus the whole "only air unit" thing. I do like the idea of some sort of floater support power though (like some "bait" for them to attack) but not so much as a buildable unit.

But the model is still amazing as usual!

i think this would be cool as an air unit for forgotten, tame floaters could be a possibility just as much as tamed tib fiends.

I do think garrison ability would be better suited to a TS style chinook for the Forgotten and leave the floaters as a pure air unit, without the rooms on its ***.

"Versatility vs any target"?
But it by default dont have any AA, without any "AA infantry" crew, right?
It reminds me of Earth 2160 Morphoratorus or Replicatorus or Postomor destroyer ships of Morpihidian Aliens faction.

Interesting idea. But i think old Apache helicopter or even Harpy more fits as Forgotten attack aircraft. Floaters can be used for different purpose, like support powers or "natural hazards" on maps. And as far as i remember they can't fly, they just float several meters above ground

I was expecting Chinooks/other Helicopters and then maybe Floaters as a support power as well...they were just so chaotic and destructive in TS.

I think everyone expected that, though. That makes the Helicopters too obvious of a choice. That's exactly what they had in the last game and I'm pretty sure Carnius is going for something more interesting than just the "mutants in crap Mad-Max style vehicles" thing. I can see the idea of having the Forgotten interact with and understand the Tiberium fauna in a sort of wild, symbiotic way. That they should have an understanding of Tiberium unique to them and a way of utilizing it unique to them. I don't think there was any indication that Scrin have any interest in mutant lifeforms...but I might have missed something.

The floaters could have evolved since Firestorm, that much could be justified.

At any rate, the Floater "Pit" and the Floater Gunship Thing look great.

To be honest I personally find the Floater idea perfect, sure it's weird but you have to remember the Forgotten live in red and yellow zones, not only do they survive there they somewhat thrive there and that wouldn't be very possible unless they came to have somewhat an understanding as to how the mutated fauna and flora worked and with that understanding would come a dominance of a kind. And while I do support them have an additional offensive aircraft (such as the Hind that Carnius just released) I do support them being a ground oriented faction. I feel the Forgotten faction should be a mix-up of old scavenged and jerry-rigged tech and a utilization of the environment they live in as well as their own mutations and this fits both perfectly.

how about a stamina bar which depletes when in combat or carring "heavey" infantry like flak troops and brutes for the floater

I like this one, hoping that it looks as mysterious and powerful as it used to be in TS. However, i still feel it a little hard to accept that the Floater will fly in the sky as bomer instead of a ground momster. Anyhow, it loos really as vivid as the orginal version.

I would love to see this concept mixed with one carryall...

Imagine a floater where used to be every engine, and imagine the 4 floaters emiting electric pulses to the chassis (and some wires that goes from every floater to the body of the ship), like if that would being used to power up the weapons orsomething.

Description

Floater will be most likely the only forgotten flying unit. Ability to transport infantry that are able to attack from within increases its versatility versus any target. Its basicaly living airship (or gunship) something special for mutants :)
