This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
Forgotten heavy tank is based on tiberian down era medium tank, but to increase its firepower it got four barrels, because four is better than one or two, so shall we say it does quad damage :D
Hmmm... not sure about these 4 heavy cannons. To be honest. I liked the Mastodon tank, with the ability to load an infantry squad. I would like to see a sort of frontal grinder, to destroy mine and damage vehicles at close range.
Agreed. Four is more, but perhaps too much. You can never have enough firepower, they say, but having it all on one vehicle is not very smart.
Well the idea is to make something really different than gdi mammoth tank. Four barrels do the trick and its weird like mutant vehicle should be.
In other hand it might be too weird XD
I still got the two barreled version as backup. Because at first i made this tank with two barreles (RA heavy tank right?), but then i was like thats not enough, muties need more guns, more dakka xD
Ok but Forgotten military doctrine is also "hold the position". They fight "together", so they should have a Tier 3 assault vehicle that's able to load a squadron. Ok for "weird vehicles" but with upgrades it's similar to GDI mammoth tank (armor + firepower). With the infantry slot and the frontal grinder it should be more different and "aggressive".
I always liked the idea of infantry bunkers rolling in CnC. Fireports - definitely yes! Also, it makes room for customization of the beast.
And Tiberium Fiend in fireport adds armor :)
How about it starts with one cannon, and then somehow upgrades in the field?
Forgotten are also known to be scavengers, so if these had that sort of mechanic, I think it'd make sense enough not to make that mechanic seem too much like its been done before.
Kinda like the GLA?
3 barrels weapon like a volcano(minigun)???
Had the same idea, 3 barrels sounds like a good replacement
I really like your model and the awesomeness of having a quad barreled tank, but lore wise I don't see it quite fitting.
You know what? Just make that thing like the GLA Marauder thank so its amount of barrels can increase over time, I'm sure you can find a fitting gameplay mechanic for it ;)
Scrap, veterancy... or anything
Very cool design Carnius, I really like it :) I understand your reasoning for having 4 barrels, but I agree with those that it might be a little too much, but just 2 might not be enough either. I'd also suggest 3 barrels is the right number (keep the same 2 barrels on top, then have 1 barrel underneath and centered).
Or another idea is to have just one main barrel at the front, and have a smaller barrel on both the left and right side of the turret (so 1 main turret and 2 smaller ones in total). Almost something like you might see in Dawn of War XD
Interesting a unit that has a full 360 degrees fire angel ia is a recipe:)
Supporting cannons have a fast shootting.
You could also see something like that in WWII. Called, "KV-7." Stalin quickly put the engineers responsible on solid ground by reminding them the practicality of having one big gun.
"its weird like mutant vehicle should be."
Mutants are aliens?
How about just weird for the sake of weird, which really sounds like something you'd stick to the Scrin, emphasise a more robust, scrappy approach?
Something like GLA engineering, only with access to the processing/manufacturing capacity of (mainly) TD-era Con yards, and with a much more limited manpower pool, so no blowing themselves up.
So, in the end, you'd get late 90s early 00s era tech on civilian and obsolete chassis, compensating for 50 years of on/off wartime development.
So, my idea in the current case: Cut the barrels just before the muzzle brakes, and instead make it fire as a mortar instead, aiming for the top armour of the unit, and having an initial burst of fire on first contact, when all four guns are loaded. Thoughts?
Like the idea.

Really looking forward to the forgotten, there was another mod that did them as a playable faction. Never really liked their approach, looking forward to yours!!!
Well regardless to any impact on gameplay I think this looks pretty immense =)
AWESOME
Crewman loading shells into the cannons is going to have a bad day once this one starts firing...
Tiberium mutation can do some crazy stuff to you. Maybe the crewman has four arms?
Not necessarily four, but they have been stated to be considerably stronger, right?
HOLY ****!
Nod and GDI are ****** when those boys show up. Really looking forward to a duel between Punisher and Mammoth Tanks!^^
4 BARREL TANK OMG! cant wait to use it!
i have to say, i wont like to be the guy who has to reload this thing
Autoloaders exist for this exact reason =P
Love the four barrels!
Don't let these idiots tell you to have less. >:C
Four guns on a medium tank. The most believable use would be area of effect. Four light barrels as opposed to four barrels of the original tank on a chassis designed for one. That's just my view of it. Still pretty great though.
Quad cannon would be awesome to have as a T3/T4 def turret. just my opinion.
Not sure about 4 barrels on anything less than a super heavy tank or an artillery platform. 3 barrels sounds about right if you'd have them tight in together with the two ontop next to each other then the third barrel underneath and centered between. If you are going to have 4 barrels they need to be closer together as you'd have to take more effort to fire each barrel rather than easily fire all of them at roughly the same target without too much shot correction.
I actually dig it, but I'd have the them use both this and the original Mammoth Tank
The evolution of the Heavy Tank and Mammoth Tank, love it! :D
Quad gun?
This overkill I like it!
Four cannons? Even GDI can have one of these in C&C.
Hydra Flak Tank on some tiberium infused steroids... AWESOME.
where to download tiberium essence 2.0 forgoten?
i like how the turret looks, but these four cannons so close to each others looks a bit impractical. i mean, loading them might be problematic. maybe make this into an upgrade?
