Tiberium Dusk is a re-imagining of the Kane's Wrath universe in a way I feel better fits canon, as EA did a pretty poor job with the C&C franchise continuity from Tiberium Wars onwards. This mod doesn't change anything with regards to the story but helps add elements to the gameplay that "fill the gaps" and provide a more Tiberian Sun esque experience (including all its flaws and unbalances) and departs away from the Kane's Wrath RTS formula. Still a work in progress, I've made changes to the AI (buffed turtle AI and made brutals harder), made changes to "Militant Squads" which make them work with the timeline of the franchise, changed the "Nod" faction entirely with a new name, as Kane's Wrath "Nod" works more of a splinter faction rather than a true "Brotherhood"; with Marked of Kane being the new face of the faction. There are also numerous changes to GDI and Scrin, especially Reaper 17 and Steel Talons, which make them play significantly differently.

This is a pleasant surprise. I loved Renegade back in the day.
Are you planning on adding a unique hero to all the sub-factions?

Maybe, ST already has the Ghost Stalker, Marked the Cyborg Commando, but heroes in General will need a lot of thinking over, especially for Scrin since their whole Commando Shtick is really boring in vanilla.

I did think maybe Sakura / Umagon for the Black Hand, though I'm sure someone would complain that Umagon originally worked for GDI lol.

The Classic Commando for GDI is also unique, but he's a bit generic tbh. Fun to use though.

KANE AS HERO FOR MARKED OF KANE, PEACE THROUGH POWER! xD Tbh though I'd really need to think over it, I'm all over the place with ideas as it is at the moment. :P

Sakura as a flying hero unit for Black Hand would be unique. Regardless I wouldn't mind seeing more Renegade content in C&C3;.

Maybe for Marked Of Kane Give Legion a Personal Avatar?

EDIT: Also tbh Umagon is likely either a horrific tiberium mutant that's mindless now or is dead, So I personally could see her being set loose by the black hand, but it's more likely that we would see perhaps the Hand of Marcion (Sorta a callback to the Nod Black Hand unit from Tiberian Sun) as their elite unit. Just my personal opinion XD

Asked: "You're going up against the whole crew by yourself?"
Havoc: "Just don't seem fair, does it? Maybe I'll shoot left-handed."

It's good to see Havoc again and the personal Ion Cannon!

Yeah, NGL it felt awesome implementing this guy, I mean I literally gave myself RSI since there was 102 voice files to reference and assign to actions since I wanted him to sound like a really unique unit and do it justice. xD

But now he's done he's overpowered in the most underpowered way possible, if you give him a perfect environment, he can straight up destroy any armor he comes across, like how regular commandos destroy infantry...

But at the same time with him being one of the slowest commandos and having a short range, its easy to spam cheap infantry to thwart him if you see him coming.

I wanted him to really stand out, so whilst he's a complete terror vs tanks, once you know how to deal with him he becomes less of a terror; the worst thing about Havoc though is if he catches you by surprise, RIP then lol.

The Ion Cannon beacons are a nice addition and will 1-shot most things if the Ion Cannon manages to go off, but they're tricky to use and also cost money to deploy (will be around 300-500cr).

Description

(Re)Introducing Colonel Havoc to ZOCOM in Tiberium Dusk. For those of you who are fans of Renegade, Havoc is now finally a usable "hero" with all the sass and finesse you'd expect.

Armed with a devastating Personal Ion Cannon, deployable Ion Cannon beacons, advanced combat armor and self-healing abilities in the field, Havoc is a one man army and a force to be reckoned with.

Costing 4000 credits and requiring a Tech Lab + Ion Cannon + Armory, Havoc is the penultimate anti-vehicle commando.

The personal Ion Cannon has a modest range but delivers catastrophic damage each shot, with a long 4 second reload time, more than enough firepower to 1 shot most lighter tanks.

The ion cannon beacons are stealthed and give Havoc surprise attack power with him being able to deploy a beacon and then run away for enemies to fall into the blast radius, or he can use the beacon to destroy buildings with ease. The beacons emit a loud charging sound over the area though so can be avoided if the enemy commander is aware.

Havoc struggles when approached en-masse and has no real effective way of dealing with infantry, despite the fact his gun can 1-shot most infantry types, including squads if he encounters them, the reload time hampers him too much.

However, 1 on 1, Havoc can take on Epic Units completely on his lonesome, making him one of the most fearsome infantry units in the entire game.

He is directly countered with anti-infantry weapons and will not last long when ambushed by infantry base defenses or groups of infantry, but he can destroy entire vehicle columns alone if left unchecked.
