Tiberian Sun Platinum changes some of the units, sounds, and other things in the game to give it a different feel. There is nothing wrong with vanilla normal old Tiberian Sun but some people may want that tiny bit of variation after a while. A fresh new feel to the game all the while fully capable of playing the game online with people who do not have this mod installed without problem. Enjoy. If you don't like it I understand. I personally don't use it. I don't like customizing my things but I do understand that some people like to pimp their game.
