It sounds louder in the video than it actually is.

it tries to use HTML5 to display the Video in FF 6.0.2.
Firefox can only decode Webm, ogg and wav. not mp4

Is that an actual projectile we see in the midst of the *light* ?
Does it only cause damage at the end point where you target it or say if you had enemy infantry inline w/ the disruptor but your target was a distant vehicle, will it *fry* the infantry as it passes through them or they have to be specifically targeted ?

No, it's not a projectile it's a LinearDamageUpdate. It uses a modified version of the TW sonic emitter FX and damages all enemies on the ground in its line of fire.

Since sound is a wave, i think making something related would be cool. Like an invisible projectile of sound that rips the ground up from below it as it travels. like the cut-scene of the alien shock troopers. it, at least, would be fun 2 play with. The projectile might not even need 2 be invisible, for those that like color.

I think this looks quite a bit like a "shockwave beam". But the cracks in the ground sound like a good idea, I'll try that.

Meh.

How about this, instead, as a Sonic Wave effect?:
