So I modeled something, and I don't know what it is really.

You decide: Tech Center, Barracks or Powerplant?

I support this, but I don't think it should be allowed to heal infantry. Maybe just some upgrades. Then the Barracks should be able to heal infantry.

i would be sayin a better surveyor..like goobertrooper said..just make able to build gdi riflemen and rocketsquads..and make it able to have a little power..and maybe make it where it can build little defense turrets..not actual gdi defenses just little ones...like maybe a little gattling turret..and a small rpg turret..maybe an anti-air one too..fits gdi style

looks more like a self sustaining barracks with two power turbines.
like its designed to be FOB building, tough and reliable.

The Turbines could as well be Air-Filters, to keep Tiberium out.

i like the idea of some kind of moveable barraks, like an mcv
it could also be an advanced infantry barraks where the commando and zone troopers stay

Its to small/to wide for an armory i think.
would pobably fit for some kind of tech building though.
maybe something which could release some kind of seekerdrone seen in TS...

And the C&C3 GDI armory isn't too small/to wide?

How 'bout an outpost. Seems too flimsy to contain anything of worth (tech lab in tent lol)...

Unless there's an underground?

It's not a tent, it's inclined armor plating. Or could be. I based that section off the TS barracks.

could be an outpost like vader333 said.. the one that is expanded from that is built from the construction yard... forgot it's name..., nevertheless it's perfect for an outpost

I wouldn't make it a tech centre, it's looks to small and flimsy, and it doesn't really give of a feel of being a power plant.

I think a barracks would suit it better, and making it deployable like sam_23694 said would be really cool :)

Or I guess you could make it some kind of GDI rouge tech barracks, similar to the mutant hovel or whatever it's called.

Medic Tent or some kind of mobile hospital? Perhaps the C&C3 Armory?

It could be several things.

1) It could be an uplink center. You know how in TS GDI could place the Hunter seeker uplink or the In Cannon uplink on that one structure... I forget its name.
2) It could be a better surveyor. I mean it would be deploy-able like the surveyor but it would produce a little power, Infantry and a build radius. Since GDI is like a steamroller with many guns it would match their fighting style... Nod's emissary could have stealth cloaking or anything that would balance this.
3) Armory as has been suggested.
4) It could be a civilian armory. It would work like the mutant hovel.

Good model. Eager to see what it becomes.

Well it is too inelegant to be a technology centre, no disrespect I mean even the old C&C Technology buildings had a rather luxurious look upon them. I would say Barracks but it does not seem to complete that barrack look so I am saying what it looks like A command Bunker

I like the ideas of it as a:
- forward barracks
- field hospital
- hunter/seeker drone uplink (especially if model a large satellite dish on it)

I was thinking something more like this for the Barracks:
Cncsaga.com
Cncsaga.com

This is an old Westwood design for C&C3. That's how they would've made the building look.

Whereas the building here could serve more as an armory that can either upgrade infantry to veteran status or heal them. Perhaps it can still unlock tech as it did in EA's C&C3, but other factions should get unique buildings instead of something that unlocks things in the tech tree like the Armory does.

The rendered one is not a concept for a mobile barracks. At one point in development, they had planned for all GDI buildings to be mobile. By the time the render was made, they were back to being immobile.

So no, it's not necessarily a concept art for a mobile barracks, just a barracks. Plus, I don't see what's wrong with taking the deployed design and basing the Barracks off it. I personally always thought TS GDI structures looked weird, especially the barracks. No need to stay completely true to TS. Show some evolution from TS, not stagnation.

Looks pretty barracksy. Armory works, though. Definitely not a tech center. It looks like it has room for an upgrade. Maybe point defense drone dispenser? A barracks is the first thing I build at an outpost, so I think giving it a light defensive upgrade isn't a bad idea. Nothing too powerful, but something that might be able to hold off against a couple rocket squads while you're building bigger badder defenses. The spot I'm talking about are those little pad/hatch looking things on the far side.

I'd say replacement for surveyor that has limited power production some infantry like the basic stuff and maybe a combo machine gun/grenade launcher for a little defense capability.

I wouldn't make that a barracks i mean its got those turbines on it and its not too big to be a power plant. and GDI and NOD tech centers in tib sun were very small buildings. It looks like a bastardization of Power Plant. Barracks and Upgrade Center right now. Id make it an Armory type building for upgrades and support uplinks with the armory ability to heal infantry types.

Note. A building that small is way too small to be a full barracks. I do like the idea of a mobile barracks structure that uses the yuris revenge ideal of a mobile tech tree structure like they did the slave miner. Some mobile buildings fit GDI's take the fight to the enemy stance

reminds me of the structures we had at Osan AB, S. Korea. They were pressurized, hardened structures with air filtration systems to keep out chemical/biological crap. For the life of me I can't remember what they were called (acronym-wise).
