Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

Looking very nice and clean - from a texture POV. Happy this style compared to the previous versions that end up being overly noisy.

Thanks. We tend to prioritize readability ingame, so we try to reduce noise as much as possible. Some people don't like it because it ends up looking a little more cartoony, but we generally feel it's better for seeing what's actually happening.

IMHO, it looks fantastic. Doesn't look at all cartoony to me.

Agreeing with Kommissar, I think your designs tend to strike a perfect balance between authentic, Lucas-like aesthetics and an almost noiseless Dave Filoni approach. Very nice model.

Shouldn't the CSA's symbol be on the ship

There's no indication that the CSA was especially fond of plastering their logo on stuff.

As Corey said, the CSA didn't particularly care about showing off by having their logo put on everything. Their ships and troops were mostly used to combat pirates, smugglers and other paramilitary forces as well as keeping their own "citizens" in line.
At least with their ground forces the main color of the CSA was brown/dark bronze so people always knew that when guys or walkers in those colors show up it's the CSA meaning business.

I read somewhere that bigger CSA Capital ships like Invincible-class Dreadnaughts were sometimes marked with vertical brown or dark orange stripes near the bow, but that may be fanon stuff.

There's a certain irony to the Corporate Sector not putting their logo on everything.

I would love to see this making an appearance in Ascendancy, that's one of my favourite mods but doesn't seem to get any attention.

Most work on Ascendancy currently is in trying to work on baalnce and redo abilities, so it's not really conducive to showing stuff off. The Recusant doesn't fit in any of those factions, either. We had 4 years of no ICW releases, so during the last bit of 2.2 development, ICW took precedence. The team is also much smaller for Ascendancy than ICW/FotR.

Description

I've finished the Recusant model and texture, so here's both variants used in both of our mods- on top, the plain grey version that the Corporate Sector will be using in ICW, and I've also included two views of the CIs markings being used in our Clone Wars mod, Fall of the Republic: Thrawn's Revenge III

(Some of the spindly bit's on the model's left side are just mirrored elements so the shadows would work properly in the editing program, ingame they have the actual texture)
