Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.
These two images of the textured Star Home are not by the TR team. I (the_Farseer) have submitted them because Corey doesn't have the time at the moment and I wanted to show off the texture for the model...since I made both. So, what I did was quickly import the model into the last build of RotM and take a few screens. That said, these backgrounds are NOT Thrawn's Revenge material...they are simply aesthetics to help improve the overall quality of the shots.
Very nice
Very pretty!
I don't like the Hapans though. The fact that their culture is dominated by females, and that the males are slaves (kinda' like Dathomir) is repulsive to me. Also I find that their ships do not look like "Star Wars" ships, more like "Star Trek" or something.
nevermind
beacuse their were made to rip off star trek
it looks un-star wars/ cant wait to blow it up. also, captain mazerolle, is that because you are a sexist person who thinks men should rule and women should be the slaves? i am all for equality...
Or maybe YOU are a sexist person who thinks women should rule and men should be slaves? See what I did there?
I never said that men should be the rulers. In today's society women have equal rights, in fact they have even more rights, especially in the courts.
HOWWWWAYYY STOP THE FLAMING!
Go tell that to an Arab woman...or a Chinese woman...or a Mexican woman...
This conversation went downhill REALLY fast...
Its natural for men to lead (testasterone)
This is hardly the place for this...
Sorry. I didn't know that my comment was going to have so many repercussions.
I know that your intent wasn't to spark a heated debate but you should understand that first, woman's rights are a touchy subject and that second, the wording of you comment is ambiguous and could have been interpreted many ways but the inclusion of the word "repulsive" is probably why dowdpride reacted the way he did; as that word has mostly negative connotations. I am in no way attempting to perpetuate this debacle, I'm just trying to let you know what not to do in the future.
My previous comment about women in other countries was not a cut at you but simply an informative post. Saying that women have more rights today than men is wrong. They have less, on a global scale.
I will say this to finish off though... Dowdpride should have just left it alone to begin with. He jumped to a conclusion and reacted on it...always a bad idea. I've said my piece now. /post
well.. yea anyway lol Far that ship is ******* wonderfully made!! when i shoot it up will it come apart in pieces? i really want to blow one of those struts off of it ^_^
That's up to the TR team. I didn't make a death clone or anything like that...just the base model. I'm sure they'll come up with something cool though :)
I'll just say, Un-star wars-ish?
this is an entire galaxy. ships of every possible design could exist. the un-star wars-ish comment carries no weight to me.
When people say star wars-ish, what they mean is Incom/Sorosuub/Mon Calamari/KDY/CEC/RSD, etc.
Look at Mandalorian ships, Look at Yevetha ships, look at Vong ships. By your standards, these are un-star wars-ish, but in their respective eras, they play a major role.
and on this women debate, while rights are equal, in practice, they aren't. There's a general subconscious male supremacy. Look at the gender makeup in the governments of any western nations. the only ones that come even close to equal are Scandinavian countries, and here, there's still a disparity. Short of legally making men second-class citizens, women will, unfortunately, in practice, always be under the control of a male-dominated government.
Agreed on all points but one... Vong ships are not from the Star Wars galaxy ;) lol
I would argue that because the original comparison was against a completely separate fictional universe (Star Trek), the Vong ships, galaxy of origin notwithstanding, can still be counted as part of the all-encompassing universe that we refer to as Star Wars. ;)
I would accept that point of view but he does specifically point out that he is speaking in galactic terms, not universal. It's all just semantics though and me trying to argue about it is the paragon of nerdism. I concede. lol
I love the model, it looks great, but the fact that it looks like something out of Star Trek makes me want to shoot it.
Most Hapan ships, as Mazerolle said earlier, look like StarTrek ships. I'm not the biggest fan of them either but I suppose it would be boring if the looked just like every other SW ship.
