Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.
We've released a beta for the upcoming patch for ICW on our forums for testing before we do the full release. It can be downloaded from our forums at the following link. Please report any bugs, as that is the point of a beta.
cool, good job
"Because of the fix to the selection bug, we have re-enabled AI on the Galactic map for all factions in the progressive GCs, including minor factions. If this causes problems, we may have to revert this change in the next patch."
Yesssssssssss, my thanks to the creators of the unfreezing tool and to the ICW team for taking advantage of it.
Now off to the Art of War :) :)
so wait, now the 4th main faction plus the minor factions will all work now?
Yes, unless this brings up other issues. I only did it in the progressive ones for the moment, however.
wow that's cool! what do you mean by progressive ones though? You mean the main 4?
The ones that progress through different eras, yeah.
Re-enabled AI? What does that mean?
Galactic AI. They would be active in tactical battles, but not on the galactic level, like Pirates were in EaW (pre-FoC). Now we've given them back the galactic A, so they should move on through the galaxy as well.
I thought that was hardcoded? How did you manage to get around that?
It's neither hardcoded nor difficult, you just need to give them AI. One of the older versions had it on release I think (1.3?) but we removed it when the selection bug became too much of an issue.
huh, could have sworn when pentastar was released and people were wondering why they were not doing anything one of you guys said that the game could only have 2 active AIs at the time and it could not be changed.
Or it was just a figment of my imagination screwing with me.
Awesome News :)
Fantastic guys! I'm looking forward to this!
