Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. i thought that assult frigates were just upgraded dreagnoughts, and the middle of it doesn't really look like a dreadnought to me.
That model is an accurate design for the Assault Frigate Mk 1: Images3.wikia.nocookie.net
yup, the Assault Frigate MK1 is a stripped down version of a dreadnaught, designed to increase its speed and cut down on crew requirements, obviously because during the Rebellion's first years they were kinda short on staff. its hull armor is weak but a lot of its armor was removed, but the Rebels tried to compensate for this by adding as much shield strength as the could to a ship of its size
