Install steps:

Copy the contents of the ZIP file to your Quake III Arena directory (pak9tup.pk3 to BASEQ3 + pak4tup.pk3 to MISSIONPACK). All files are automatically loaded.

Wide-screen support:
1. Open the console with [^]
2. Type: /exec res1920x1080 (example)
3. Execute with [Enter]

Highest possible graphic settings:
1. Open the console with [^]
2. Type: /exec hq
3. Execute with [Enter]

When running Q3 with the neural upscaled texture pack I get constant CTDs with "Z_Malloc: failed on allocation of 16777240 bytes from the main zone" error.
+set com_zoneMegs 128 +set com_hunkMegs 192 doesn't help, do you have any advice to run the game with these enhanced texture packs?

Use this: +set com_hunkMegs 512 (you can test it with 256 first)

Please give me feedback as to whether it worked with these solutions.

Thanks for your reply which I totally missed, I'd like to keep using vanilla Q3. At this point I think I get that is a limitation of the engine.
So no enhanced texture packs or models for me, I guess.

You can't go wrong with quake3e. A clear recommendation from the community and of course from me.

And if not: TUP is fully vanilla compatible. You can use this commandline with quake3.exe too: +set com_hunkMegs 512

Is there a way to see the whole gun model? YUou know how with widescreen its bottom is cut? :(
