Hello everyone,
After a long period of absence we come with some fortunate and some unfortunate news. First of all, as the title suggest, we are glad to announce the release of the Strategy and Tactics Submod for Edain 4.5.4.2! After years of hard work we are glad all of you can now enjoy it yourselves.
However, onto the more unfortunate news. As some of you might have noticed, we have been rather silent the past year. This started due to the leave of one of the initial team-members that helped build up the Submod. This along side our own busy lives has made us come to a point where we are no longer interested in the project, at least for now. Thus, after long consideration we have decided to release the project in its current, unfinished, state. We do think, however, that there is a considerable amount of (new) material, concepts and mechanics for people to enjoy.
The decision to go public so quickly does also come with some altercations. Apart from releasing an unfinished project we did not have the full time, motivation and skills to have a smooth release. The Submod was originally intended to release alongside the Edain Launcher, making it easy to switch between the two with the press of a button. Unfortunately, as of now, it requires a much more manual installation. The Submod files do come with an installation guide, so we suggest reading that carefully.
We are of course glad to see our work not go to waste. This project is a mix of a lot of talented artists and modders from the BFME community and we name each of them in the Credit List. However we would like to thank the Edain Team specifically for their hard work and in helping to keep the BFME community alive! Also a special thanks to all of our testers in balancing the Submod!
Perhaps someday we return and pick up where we left of, but no promises. For now, we hope you all enjoy it as much as we have had working on it!
