The Stanley Parable is an experimental narrative-driven first person game. It is an exploration of choice, freedom, storytelling and reality, all examined through the lens of what it means to play a video game. You will make a choice that does not matter You will follow a story that has no end You will play a game you cannot win ...it's actually best if you don't know anything about it before you play it :D
Excellent voice acting, and a keen lesson in philosophy delivered near-masterfully. It could have, however: enabled save games, and allowed us to explore every room along each path (with appropriate narration). I understand the reasoning behind the latter, but if a door opens only to have another close, there must be many doors that lead nowhere at all. It might have also improved play time without cheating the player into playing a whole segment over again.
