This is the full version of the mod for Cry of Fear, the one included in Cry of Fear's initial installation is currently only the demo version (that ends after map 3). If you wish to finish your journey to stop Shaimoon from conquering the world, download this version and play it!
I released the older demo on Cry of Fear (the one currently sitting in release Cry of Fear's CC menu) to show what I have been working on during the Cry of Fear Custom Campaign Competition.
I'm sorry for not finishing the whole thing in time. I kind of went in hastily, school and IRL stuff has been a pain to deal with.
But, finally, I finished the mod and tried my best to solve the complaints for the original maps, so hopefully, you all can enjoy it.
CHANGELOG :
- Revised the 3 original maps, bump mapping, script handling and all that.
- 4 new maps.
- A new weapon.
- New enemies.
- 2 endings.
- More balanced puzzles.
To install the mod, place all of the files from the TSoS folder in :
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Cry Of Fear\cryoffear"
Or where ever you installed your Cry of Fear folder into.
And click "Yes" when asked if overwrite.
Don't worry about the overwriting, it only overwrites the original maps, so it shouldn't break any installation.
Hi guys! ZikShadow here, you guys who played Cry of Fear may know or even played a custom campaign there named Scrolls of Shaimoon, now, previously during the Cry of Fear Custom Campaign Competition made by ruMpel and the YouTuber Pewdiepie (Which was never finished due to unknown reasons.) i made this custom campaign, so technically this is my first CC.
I couldn't finish the CC because of time constraint and the fact that i couldn't think about how good is my CC until other people played it, so i made it to the 3rd map and i called it quits.
From a lot of people online, through the forums and YouTube, i see that a lot of people are unsatisfied and in fact annoyed with my CC, i understand and acknowledged it, so i made a 1.2 version, but in my opinion, a few of the changes in 1.2 i disliked, like making the puzzle in the 3rd map a milk run, and all, but overall people liked it so i just go with it.
In time, the Competition ended, nobody got prizes but still got the reputation and everything so i guess it's okay, but i was still unsatisfied knowing that my CC is still unfinished, so i decide to go fix a whole lot of thing and finish the CC complete.
Gave it 2 endings, 3 new maps, massively edited the geometry of the original 3 maps, changed a few things here and there, place some secrets, tested the CC again and again, and now here it is, complete.
I hope you guys liked this CC, i sure had fun making it (Not really, map making errors and missing items during uploads really jerked me off.).
Enjoy!

The CC is very nice but when I get to open area where you can escape for ending 2 I get massive lag. My fps drops to 20. Can you fix this?
The level with the crocodile what that switch do and can the bagpack be opened?
Splendid work, dude
I really liked this custom mission, are there any similar games that anyone can recommend to me? I kinda liked the concept of the mission and would like to play similar games like this custom map
Good maps with good effort. 10/10 and yes i played this in 2017.
Do you have a model of that water creature left on your PC? Would be nice to look at that better and see what the **** that thing is.
Can't believe that I forgot to write that here. I checked the model. Turns out it's a huge mummified crocodile/alligator.
If you're talking about the .mdl file, it's literally in the actual TSoS installation folder.
Arlight, how is it called though?
ahhhh nice using doom 3 sounds but good
