RTR8 V4.0.2 (Obsolete) file - The Rome: Total Realism Project mod for Rome: Total War

Have downloaded the above file, along with the Rome Total War Alexander from Steam. Saved the file into the Alexander directory but when I click on the launcher an error message appears: The Rome total War Alexander is not executional. I don’t have any experience in the mod area. Thanks.

I hope this works. I have found some smaller bugs at the version before 5/2017
there, sometimes the game crashes when I wanted to read the unit's description at a building's description (when the unit's description is shown on the right side of the screen).
it works fine when the unit is build at the unit's description, but not at the building. may be before it is build.

for example, Germania Archers

Another point is, some overpowered things it seems.
Makedons attack me every round with full armies. I have full units strength (very large). so they loose every round 1-2 armies with 4.000 - 8.000 men. how can they compensate this for years? sure in the meditterean area and in the East, there were a lot of more people than in the North.
in 40 years I have taken from them only 3 provinces and the way is full with heroic battles.

Because, on the other hand, the germanic people are represented very well with rare cavalry and archers and they have almost all skirmisher spears...and with a lot of ammo??? - additional a sword for melee (but not many early germanic people owned a sword - spear is like in the game the main weapon) - so my spears kill so many phalanx guys that they arrive me very demoralized.
I play medium / medium.

What zip extractor do you recommend? It seems like my PC does not have one installed and when the RAR file is downloaded there is no way to combine it with my steam version of RTW Alexander

However I have not done something like this in a while, could I have a step by step of what to do? I played your mod years ago and would love to play it again.

I am the guest who commented above, I decided to make an account. Also what kind of file should the RAR be after I have it downloaded and before I try to extract it to RTW Alexander?

When I load the launcher and click the big RTR symbol in the middle of the window nothing happens, it just exits the launcher. I have the files extracted to the Alexander directory in steamapps common, does anyone know what the error could be?

Is there any way to play this mod in multiplayer?

Please how to install on STEAM? I have RTW and Alexander and if i copy files from RTR to Alexander game crash or missing files.

I’m having massive install problems. There are several .CAS files that I lack. I’m playing on a Mac and have copied the RTR data folder into the Alexander directory. Cannot post in the RTWH forum. Please help!!

"The following errors were found in the launcher data file: Directory error: directory chosen for option 'Default Trees' cannot be found. Verify your RTR installation or your data file."
I press close and it takes me to the Launcher screen. When I attempt to load the game I get this message-
"The folder for the tree types 'Default Trees' could not be copied. Although the game may run normally, it is likely your desired configuration will not be in effect, and the game might not even start correctly Do you wish to continue launching the game?"
When I press Yes it takes me into the game briefly where I receive this message.
"Generic error: Unable to find skeleton 'fs_cataphract_horse_big'".
The game then exits.

If I select Low-Resolution Trees in the Launcher screen I do not get the second message but the game still exits after the Generic error message.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, do you guys have a manual or a guide on the mod? I was playing as Rome and I don't fully understand the conditions to evolve a settlement to a Civitas Sociorum for example. Great work by the way!
