Helvetians are not just famous for their archaic uniforms, but also for their archaic tactics, their leadership are staunch military traditionalists, easily swayed by the romanticism of their imperial past, and the hunger for glory.
Ever since the Swadian monarchy fell, the Helvetians have been embroiled in a costly brother war against the Swadians, both sides have bled and fought tirelessly for some time.

Top unf, seems like there will be unique formations like L'Aigle.
It made sense in L'aigle though, it was the age of muskets and lines of men facing each other. Muskets had a fire rate of like four a minute compared to a fire rate of roughly 15 shots a minute from bolt-action rifles.
The only formation that would make sense for setting with highly accurate and fast firing guns would be a spread out staggered formation.
