Also just noticed that the top pic is a good way to show the new parallax mapping shaders, in essence these shaders make ground textures look more bumpy and realistic, and stop them looking so flat.
Propably the first two I try to create are a Mad Max like roque warrior and Leon S. Kennedy from Resident Evil.
