"The Project" is a mod currently in a VERY VERY early stage. I plan on making this mod very carefully and details can, and most likely will change, based on new information and improvements. We only have a basis idea of what we are building and this could take up to two years to completely finish. Possibly longer, I plan on releasing demos and beta versions earlier than that, but right now its not in a stage that's even playable.
Feel free to suggest edits and improvements. I'm currently working on the story details, please keep in mind, valve has given HL fans very little information around where our story takes place, so much of it will be speculated and created in the best way we can with the information we have.
Story Information:
The mod takes place in between the events at the end of HL2:E1 and an unknown time during HL2:E2, when Dr. Mossman is tasked with discovering the Combine Portal Codes and discovers the Borealis, whether she did it on accident or on "accident" We have not decided how we will incorporate that detail of the story yet. You play as one of the Resistance soldiers sent with Dr. Mossman while she attempts to retrieve the Combine Portal Codes. We plan on making this story deeper than the surface, by doing our best to create a script that allows the player to make an emotional connection with the character(s). Playing this character you will witness the events that (We speculated could have) happened at the Borealis. Currently this is all we are willing release about the story-line as what we currently have as an idea could change at any moment.
Other Information:
We are accepting help, currently this is only a team of two people, as I have very basic knowledge of modding, I still am learning, this is one of the main reasons it will take so long to release. (aside from us wanting it to be a quality mod)
Currently, the game is going to be run on Half-Life 2 but could change if we decide to use one of the episodes.
Feel free to ask any questions! I will answer them to the best of my ability.
Also, the images you see of the game, are just pictures that can be related to the theme. Its not of the game itself, those will be added later when we have them. Proper credit goes to the authors and creators of the content.

I just got my editing and programming PC, so I can start editing on hammer and source. Also make some cinematics and models! Mod has officially entered development stage! Sorry for the silence lately, I have been studying and working, but I am going to have a lot of time on my hands from this point on

Mini Update - At the moment, I am trying to create some live background menu maps for the menu screen. After that I will move on to making the maps for the story.
please keep working on this its giving me the feel of hl2 beta but as a different person. this sounds epic.

I just want to tell anyone who is on here, this mod is NOT dead! I am currently gathering all the info and watching all the tutorials I can on mod making. As I have said in the description this could take up to two years to finish! Once I learn everything I need to begin working on the big stuff, I am going to begin working on the first 1 or 2 "Chapters" or "Levels" and release them as a demo so you guys can get a taste of the game. Little update, I am currently starting to see what I can do with some 3D modeling for my addon.
I love mods that take un answered parts of the story and tell the tale of what they believe happened in those unseen parts of the game, Looking good! Following

It could be cool you know because not that many mods do that.
