Who are we?
We call ourselves the Nomads team, quite simply because we have no better name for ourselves. At the moment, the 'active' development team consists of Brute51, Scalestor, Pip, Moritz, MushrooMars, and Jason. We are all avid players of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, and promise to complete the Nomads mod at long last.
Story and Pitch
To be decided. All we know at the moment is that it involves space ships, war, guns, explosions, dramatic death in copious amounts, and probably a love interest at some point. Oh yeah, and tanks. The Nomads love their tanks.
The Nomads mod is constantly being developed and added to by all of us. Currently, we're looking at releasing the mod in the next few months, maybe around Christmas or next year. Development is hindered by the annoying thing we call "Real Life", sadly enough, and as such is moving along at a less-than stellar pace. We are, however, working on the mod whenever we can, and have gotten quite far compared to where we started. We have most of the models and units done, all of the core code is done, and most of the effects and projectiles are done. Textures still need to be done for quite a few models, but they will be done. Soon.
We've decided to finish the Multiplayer Skirmish portion of the Nomads before we even begin work on the Campaign, so that will have to wait.

There are two ways you can help us; either by beta testing, or helping out with development.
Our closed beta is run through the Forged Alliance Forever client, a very popular community-made client for Forged Alliance. If you would like to beta test, we need proof that you are a good, friendly player, and that you will have the time to actually test the mod.
As for development, contact us on the forums, send a portfolio or examples of your previous work. We'll check you out, and if you fit the bill, you'll be welcomed to the team. At the moment, we most significantly need people that can do UV textures, in the future we may also need mappers and extra model-makers, but we just need 2d artists right now.
The Nomads are a space-faring warrior society, originating from an Earth Alliance prisoner ship, long before the times of the Infinite War. Since, they have struggled to survive on their home planet, and have become stronger because of it. At some point, they set to the stars, with the purpose of exploration, and more importantly vengeance.
Nomads units loosely follow the philosophy of 'cheap, disposable, mean', thereby having cheap units with an overall lower amount of health, but superior firepower. Their army features a diverse collection of units which make both playing as and playing against the Nomads a unique experience, as their land force, naval force, and air force all have their own quirks, with strengths and weaknesses that haven't been seen in Supreme Commander before.
Their land force features an excess of tank units, as well as hover units. They have a unique advantage in T1, as well as T2. Their army features various multi-purpose units, whose roles may be straightforward at first, but may be used for various other purposes.
The Nomad's Air force may look pretty standard at first, but as with land, they have air units which serve a variety of purposes, and do so without falter. Their T1 air force hits heavy, followed with a T2 air force capable of dominating the battle field. Their T3 air force features powerful, but relatively standard units. While not as unique as the Cybran air force, the Nomads air force can just as easily swing the tide of battle one way or another.
As for their Navy, the Nomads are a space-faring society after all. Their T2 and T3 navy are very powerful, featuring many unique units, especially at T3.
